For me this is no news...

During my Final Fantasy life I have saw that CGIs on PS1 were the level of graphics on PS2, CGI on PS2 were the level of graphic on PS3 and expected that CGI on PS3 would be the normal graphic on PS4.... but it is always good to know that the first GGO2G (Greatest Game of 2 Generations) is getting continuosly better.

This supports my claim that ND were "deceiving" us with upgraded visuals for cinematic.

They haven't said it was realtime on PS3... and most games have CGI, and just someone naive would confund a cutscene with a gameplay footage (when having access to the final product). And even in trailers and etc after sometime in the gen you more or less now the limits of the HW and how much incremental upgrades will drive you, so to expect gigantic leap is a bit naive.

I am probably stepping into a hornets nest by saying but I will say truth. In FFVII CGI and gameplay were different. There is no problem. There is no problem with CGI cutsenes in modern games either. But when companies tries to deceive us its a bad thing. ND did this so many times. They even used 60fps video for Uncharted 3 trailer.

During uncharted 1 days many game review sites cited cutscenes are amazing. Most of the people played in decently made environment and saw bumped visuals for cutscenes. They though, wow. Look at the graphics. But in reality it was different.

Also santa monica did the same with god of war 3. When they got caught they indirectly said, ps3 wasnt capable of producing those level of graphics.

If reviewers said that the cutscenes were great I don't see the harm.

And I do remember SSM said all GoW3 were in game (at the time understood as realtime footage, no precorded CGI) and them explained it used the same engine but were pre-processed... they sure could have been a lot more clear.

From wikipedia:

"all the cutscenes are created using our in-game engine; however, some scenes were just too epic to run real-time and thus are recorded videos."[34]

Epic or too much for ps3? I dont know. You can explain better.

PS2 CGI were not PS3 graphics, maybe they can hit it with PS4.

I already explained. At first they let it seem like everything was realtime (but weren't clear, it had space for their second explanation), because it was still using the same engine, but pre-recorded as I just said.

PS3 wasn't capable of running it realtime (or at least SSM couldn't make it happen), I do agree they were misleading (but didn't lied, because they were vague and open in advance, certainly planned for that in the speak).

Please explain... because I'm mostly certaiin FF XIII have a graphic quality on par with FF X CGI...

Now a remaster isn't the same thing... are you mocking me or being strawman?

Already editted, and I linked the remaster KH cause all the other ones had audio missing and it loses something without the song, even if ur just looking at the visuals...
