Forums - Gaming Discussion - What is the biggest meltdown in gaming history?

If you had to chose one meltdown what would it be? And if anything could happen what do you think would create the biggest meltdown?

FF switching from Ninty to Sony on FF VII?

FF switching from Sony to multiplat on FF XIII (no ninty)?

Monster Hunter continuous changes from Sony and Ninty?

GTA swithing from Sony to multiplat and them preference on MS?

Metal Gear Solid going real multiplat on MGS5?

Rare going to MS and making a Banjo Kazoie for X360?

Resident Evil going from Sony to multiplat (on Saturn, directors curt), them exclusive on Sega (Veronica's Code) them multiplat again (ported to PS2), them exclusive on new platform Ninty (4 and 0 on Gamecube, Gaiden on GB) them away from Ninty on 5?

Street Fighter II going multiplat?

Mortal Kombat going multiplat?

Sonic going multiplat?

Sega going out of bussiness?

Atari going out of bussiness?

Sony entering the marketing and obliterating Nintendo?

Sony making a fool of themselves on PS3 begining and letting MS kick them and Ninty passing them over?

WiiU flopness?

X1 reveal fiasco?

Bungie splitting from MS? Insomniac splitting from Sony? Both having multiplats that are more dedicated to the previous rival? Insominiac having a exclusive on X1? Destiny having exclusive *content* on PS4?

Rumours and insiders being exposed for their ridiculouness? Over defensive fans of systems trying to overhype and undermine others?

A different one?

I think it would have to be FF switching from Sony to multiplat on FF XIII (no ninty) cause the amount of crying was just so hilarious

Well it sure was... but then people in their own defense said the game sucked (and by some reason that was MS fault in their mind) and it sold a lot less on MS platforms... so it was pathetic besides hilarious...

A few good ones from last generation were:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Snake Reveal
Final Fantasy XIII going to X360 as well as PS3
Dragon Quest IX going to DS
The WiiMote is revealed

I have to agree with the previous posts, FFXIII being showed for 360 is the winner.

I forgot about DQ IX.

And it's funny that Snake is in SSB when no MGS were released on a Ninty plat on the gen (and besides MG, they were all lat ports).

Don't remember much meltdown as I remember skepticism from some, and of course the meltdown came from Wii selling more than the competition combined.
