I present to you the primary first two years of the Xbox 360. No different in developmental style. As I said..they are so predictable. Not saying I didn't enjoy it, because I did. Just calling it like it is though.
It should be clear to you the amount of 1st party disparity when comparing MS Studios of 2005 and the one in 2014.
I don't think you wanna see that.

Please...enlighten me when they still depend on third parties to make their first party and second party. Trust me...they know their strengths and nearly ten years of separation hasnt changed that. ;)

Im referring to their lineup for the launch. Put it up against the current first year to debunk my statement. Once more, this is only to prove a point of history, not to bash. I liked their lineup then and I still like it now, but it has no bearing on what is to come once Sony's first party starts coming out like wildfire. The 2007-2008 years were pivotal for Sony's first party because Microsoft had paid for the exclusivity and timed exclusivity of many games up until Sony's first party had quickly started to amass in the early portion of last gen.

Please tell us how you guarantee that. Please, go ahead. I'm curious what inside information you have, because there is no other way you can make such a statement. Stabbed themselves in the back? In what way? Has EA announced games that are not coming to ps4? Has Activision? Any company that has not been moneyhatted by (or received funding from) MS? There is currently absolutely no public proof to back up your theory and all it comes off is wishful thinking. But, please prove me wrong with concrete evidence. |
There is no concrete evidence, this is a forum where we discuss opinions. If you are looking for concrete then go to first party sources because you can't ask for that with a straight face on a forum like this.... You should know that.
I say that Sony was supposed to have DRM as well because everyone seemed shocked that they didn't have it, including the developers. Everyone thought DRM was going standard this gen. It was an unpopular agreement that pretty much everyone agreed was going to happen. Look at the reaction to Sony announcing they weren't going the DRM route. Developers everywhere were dumbfounded by it. One developer even said something along the lines of "Microsoft didn't back out of DRM because of the whining fans, they did it because Sony forced them to. " I'm not gonna look up the damned quotes for you, if you care that much then go ahead.
My second point is just a theory based on the massive number of exclusives Microsoft has and the utterly piss-poor line-up of exclusives Sony has. Their best games are stuff that they stole from Nintendo's third party exclusives list and Japanese games which Microsoft has no hope in hell of gaining traction with. Its a theory grounded in my previous statement supported by the massive number of third party exclusives Microsoft has. I even state that it will either be proven true or false at E3 when the next years exclusives are announced. If its another Microsoft bonanza then that will be your proof.

Start up doesn't matter. MS has been building and acquiring teams for the past 3 years; only you would think that MS would sit on their thumbs with all those studios and let Sony publish games.

Which developers seemed shocked? Why would people be shocked when ALL initial rumors were about MS having it and none were about Sony. Why would anyone be shocked when Sony were consistent from the BEGINING in saying it was the exact same as the ps3's? The rumors about sony were all started by desperate fanboys trying to make it seem like XB1's wasnt that bad. #getoverit

LOL...Belief is the downfall of the human race rather than looking at results. The burden of proof is on Microsoft. I never said Microsoft is sitting on their thumbs either. They didn't then and they wont now. My point is when Sonys first party jumps off, Microsoft will be scrambling once the third and seccond party titles dry up just like they did in the 360 era using PC games to fill in the gaps. Valve wont save them, CD Projekt Red is multiplat now, Bioware is multiplat and Sega is under exclusivity contract with Nintendo for some time now. ;)
Of course they replaced one of those chess pieces with Sony's former partners, Insomniac. The same team who Xbox gamers considered second rate last gen when it came to Resistance.
