Forums - Gaming - Do you want Sony or Microsoft to do a "digital event" instead of an E3 press conference?

Conference or Digital Event!

Conference 207 53.21%

Digital Event 99 25.45%

Who cares? E3 is E3 83 21.34%

Total:389

I love the big shows :D And the crowd reaction is usually priceless both when its negative and positive

Hmmmm... You left quite a bit out of Sonys conference and Microsofts. You're pretty much just mocking them. MS and Sony had third parties, second party and first party present, which at this current state Nintendo cannot contest. Even if Microsoft didnt develop most of their games they still came at the ready titles in hand. X is not a big time game and neither is Bayonetta...so I have no clue why you boast like it is. I will enjoy it when I buy it, but more people are salivating over FFXV than X. At this rate FFXV itself will boost console sales for Sony in Japan and the west and MS in the west.

Well it's always a bit easier to boast when you get exclusives. Just saying...

If it wasnt for Nintendo Bayonetta would've ceased to exist. No third party in the west is playing ball with Nintendo because they refused to make contact with them about their system specs before the gen started (thus hammering home the fact that Nintendo only thinks about their own vision when they make their consoles). Their only option was a Japanese company who could make a semi-last gen game without any complaints.

I mean..this parody says it all.

Lol, one question, what does this have to do with last years E3? Hold on let me re-read your comment. Yeah.... Nothing, I thought so.

It has everything to do with last years E3 event. Nintendo didnt have enough content to fill the usual hour and thirty minutes like MS and Sony. Sony showed hardware, service expansions and games and Microsoft mostly showed games while giving an updated preview of the Xbox One and reversal of the DRM issues. Nintendo only had 40+ minutes worth of content to show epople. Thats basically half of Microsoft and Sony's show. If you have a bias to Nintendo thats perfectly fine. I think Nintendo knew they would be void of content so they planned to trim the fat and spend less money on a major production.  In essence, no point in even going into a head on battle with MS and Sony to see who had the best E3 conference.

Yeah, Microsoft and Sony had "content", lol. If they just added all the walking on and off stage, the introductions to all the speakers, the technical problems, some quick jabs at the competition, their games not running, buzz words, videos not pertaining to video games, ect, it probably would have lasted twice as long. If we only took the gaming content and added it all up Sony and Microsoft's conference would have only gone half as long as Nintendo's if that.

When did I say that? I said they had the time buffer of the padding found in live events. They talk no slower than Iwata, in fact Iwata probably talks much slower than anyone else present. If you were taking about when I wrote buzz words, that doesn't mean talk slower. The biggest example of buzz word would be the term "Next Gen". A term that means nothing, and devs can rattle off huge chunks of time dedicated to this term, and really not say anything. (For an example see Call Of Duty Ghosts E3 2013).

Oh, I forgot cute rhetorical questions to the audience to make them feel involved, and the Holy Grail of E3 the clapping (whether real or fake).

Who cares if they use Buzz words? They had more content in their complete show. 45 Minutes extra of content to be exact. They have more games to show than Nintendo whom is lagging because of their lack of third party support.

I watched both Directs and Press conferences last year... I was bored watching MS and Sonys conference... I had a blast with Nintendos Direct. I get more excited about Directs and I am not Nintendo fan nor I own Wii U or 3DS or any other Nintendos platform. Only thing that will make me excited about Sonys conference is either new Syphon Filter or SOCOM. I know that Sunset Overdrive is going to be on E3 so I am apready hyped little and I am exrltremeoy hyped about Nintendos E3... My friend is getting a Wii U so cant wait for more information involving X and Bayonetta 2 and Super Smash Bros...

I'm sure you think so. Lol.

LOL at Nintendo fans voting for the "digital event" option
