I think it should get the MH Tri treatment, and be on both. MH Tri is the best selling game on consoles, with 2.17 million on the Wii and 0.50 million on Wii U, putting it above the 3DS's 2.55 million. Console wise, it actually seems like the series does better on Nintendo systems, while portable wise it's slightly in favor of Sony. Perhaps 5 could come out around the time the new Nintendo system comes out, which is supposedly a fusion of portable and console, which might really help it take off. It could be for the 3DS, Wii U, and the fusion console, and would probably do fantastic on all three.

Before MHtri, there hasn't been a console MH that wasn't a port since MH2 on PS2 in 2006. The series grew expotentially in popularity since MH2.
