Ryse looks more realistic but this game is just beautiful. I love the art style and colors. This game is an open world game with true day/night cycles though. You have to remember that. That is a lot more taxing to the system than what Ryse was.

Both excel in different areas, but based on these gameplay shots there is no way i would describe this as more taxing than Ryse. Day/Night cycles are an awful lot less taxing that many people credit them for. Heck, GTAV has one and it's a absolutely massive open world on the PS3 and 360.

I without a doubt think SO is the better looking game, but Ryse is still the X1's best example of a graphically intensive game.

As many have already said, the art-style is amazing and really allows colours to shine. My one concern is traversal though, is this an on-rails shooter? The IGN article says there isn't a run animation.

It's not on rails.

Perhaps not in the traditional sense, but it looks like you can't get around on foot i.e. run along rooftops, but can only get around by grinding. It's probably just this one piece of footage though, and the visuals are beautiful regardless. I love the use of vivid colour in games!

It's not on rails. You can walk around bare foot on the ground.

I know that, but the IGN article says doing so will result in a swift death so there is little point to it.

Well the Game Informer link is dead, so I guess I'll have to imagine what it looks like in motion

This is exactly what I was hoping for last year! A little disappointed that it plays so much like infamous though.

Watched the gameplay footage, hype has increased once more.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

The game looks awesome! It's currently the one thing that makes me kinda want an XBone.
