Forums - Sony - Driveclub ps+ edition detailed

We think you’ll have a lot of fun playing DRIVECLUB once it launches on October 7th, digitally via the PlayStation store and on Blu-ray at your local retailer. If you’re an active PlayStation Plus subscriber and have been playing the PlayStation Plus Edition, but decide you want the full DRIVECLUB experience, you can purchase a one-time upgrade for $49.99. This will give you access to all five locations, 55 tracks, 50 cars and all 50 tour events, as long as your PlayStation Plus subscription remains active.

im disappointed. That will be the retail price not soon after launch.

Well the most important thing is....
"yes, you can still achieve the Platinum trophy in the PS+ Edition."

THIS IS A RIPOFF.

NO SERIOUSLY

Mmm a lot of Xbox fans in the thread already, great! DriveClub seems to be garnering a lot of interest from the other side, expecting a lot of shifted consoles because of that game, am I right?

Ot. Big backclash on NeoGaf because of this already, and that's expected, that's a bad deal.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

It's pretty stupid. But I guess Sony are just testing this out. If it doesn't work then they won't try it again.

They shouldn't be testing the waters. This is the same sh1t we still haven't forgiven Microsoft for, not to mention this game was supposed to be a launch day title.

The PS+ upgrade is a blantant rip off, and it takes advantage of consumer ignorance the same way MS has been doing for years, but considering all the postive PR Sony has gotten so far, this is truly disturbing and hopefully an oversight.

For 10$ more, or waiting a few weeks, one can get the retail permanent copy of the game rather than paying a 50$ to keep the game with a subscription.

yeah, that's a pretty bullshit clause at that price to upgrade. i'll just buy the full retail instead of upgrading if i decide i want the full game.

Its actually worse.

I am guessing its a mistake.

doesnt seem like  a mistype atleast

This must be somehow mistyped. Everything you pay for while using PS+ stays with you forever even without subscription. Would be weird if that stopped with this game.
