Mario kart is not a amazing series but it's deserved a place in my library since 64.

The only thing I've heard is it's on the tracks now rather than specific battle arenas. Any other changes?

boomerang seems to be a great item!
it fits mario kart very well. If you miss the toss, you can change yout trajectory and it will hit the enemy when it is coming back to you! Your trajectory will help you to hit the others! is that a thing you expect in a party racing game!

antigravity is awesome, the inspiration by the moebius strip is also. antigravity has lots and lots of possibilities.
But i dont see think they used all antigravity possibilities.
-take the tracks and rotate them, now you will see the antigravity zones to change dinamically.
-transparent tracks, where you can see the other side(below you) other kart running. (the super horn that makes a volumetric blow could hit through the track and hit the other player)
-and all kinds of shapes, now with antigravity, all spectrum of 3D shapes are possible! even non orientable surfaces, and they can change the shape dinamically in the race.(imagine the tracks tearing in the middle, making different patterns, etc)

It also combines the survival aspect of the MKDS Battle Mode with the point system from MKWii!
