im guessing by new years they will start announcing shipped numbers rather than sell through. after the holidays its most likely they will ship a lot and there will be a big difference between sold and shipped. so they would look much better with shipped. 

I think it would be a shame if they started quoting shipped numbers, especially when their sold through numbers remain so impressive

at some point they will. because there is no really big difference between 33 million shipped and 31.5 sold. its impressive now when we are still at 10 million, 15 million. but once we reach 20m and so it will be a small difference that it wont matter.

This isn't a statement or anything about PS3 games, but I have to say the thing I most looked forward to, after upgrading my TV was seeing Band of Brothers in high definition glory.  It's really more of an obsession with that storyline lol.  But yeah, doing the GPU thing...it's why my collectors edition of GTAIV (PS3) has about a week worth of play into it.  Upgraded my PC shortly thereafter and bought it again on PC lol.

Props to VGC, they have 999k as of August 23rd, which is probably spot on since that 1 million is crossed. Maybe 10k overtrack, so only 1% error margin.
