So playing through SS right now, only need the evil expert playthrough trophies for the plat, and I don't know if I'm getting better at the game, or what, but i haven't died even died yet, lol. Used to die a decent amount on Normal though. Really amazing game. Love Delsin too :)

Biggest issue for me is how sometimes it feels like the game wants you to just run away most of the time for combat. I mean you need to constantly run away from enemies since you can't fight well in close combat ; you also cant take too much damage. This is also multiplied since you have to constantly recharge your powers and you may need to change them up. Give the game a solid 9/10 and I hope they make another game with Delsin :)

I really loved SS too, i had a huge amount of fun playing through it (though it could do with more varied side mission). I'm also an image quality whore :p By console standard infamous was god tier in that respect, so that made me a happy panda.

I agree with your complaint though. They really tried to make traversing the city as effortless and fun as possible, but unfortunately that also made fight and flight the best way to fight enemies. They could have done with a bit of re balancing to make "proper" fighting a more viable strategy.

Agreed! This is probably one of the best looking open world sandbox game I've played. I actually wasn't a fan of the oringinal Infamous games, but this one has been amazing. The particle effects in this game are top tier as well. Also, love how some of the objects can be destroyed, such as those DUP towers; just love the way the fall to rubble! Yeah side mission were a little on the less varied side. I mean right now, for the evil all I've seen are killing the sign twirlers, gang members, and guitar players. I also would have liked to see more missions with Fetch and Eugene. The way they all meshed together in the end fight was cool though :D

Also, they way Delsin's brother (forgot his name for some reason) died was pretty touching too.

This has definitely been the best exclusive I've played so far from One and 4 and I really hope they continue the series with Delsin and in this direction with more emphasis on varied combat, side missions, and overall length as I felt the game was too short :( Collecting the shards, and doing the rest of the take over didn't take that long; probably at most another 4-5 hours in length.

Also buying that First Light DLC day one! Loved Fetch as a side character and love the voice actress too. Knew it was Laura Bailey from the first couple lines from her.

The Last of Us: Remastered pre-orders are 'looking strong,' says SCEE

Speaking during an interview with the latest issue of MCV, Sony Europe’s John Walker revealed that The Last of Us: Remastered will be backed by an extensive marketing campaign that will see the post-apocalyptic adventure strutting its stuff on everything from TV ads to London train stations.

Walker also said that pre-orders for the Naughty Dog’s PlayStation 4 debut title, which adds 1080p visuals running at 60fps, plus a host of other cosmetic touches, are “looking strong.”

“The Last of Us is the game of a generation, winner of over 200 Game of the Year Awards and five BAFTAs," he commented. "It is now fully realised for the world's most powerful console. Pre-orders are looking strong and we're currently hitting our trajectory targets so we expect it to sell well."

In terms of advertising, expect to see hero Joel’s chiselled features plastered across ad takeovers at Waterloo and other underground stations, “male lifestyle publications,” YouTube and social media.

In addition, ITV, Channel 4, and Sky will be regularly running adverts for The Last of Us: Remastered later this summer.

PlayStation Australia teased earlier today that new info on the game will be released next week. Check out the first screenshots of Joel and Ellie’s hotly anticipated PS4 makeover here.

The game is due for release on PS4 in the U.S. on July 29 and in Europe on August 1.

Yep, it's an amazing looking game. My only complaint was the LOD transitions, but the render priorities of open world games makes it pretty much impossible to avoid. The textures/models updating within a full scale just isn't practical right now. Have to say though, Sony's close nit development circle seems to be doing their 1st party tech a lot of good. Previously SP weren't exactly what you'd describe as visual pioneers Infamous 1/2 looked pretty damn ugly.

It was yeah. The story never really gave me a reason to become invested in his brother's character, but when coupled with the vibe it set for the following battle it was pretty touching. Especially Delsin's altered facial expression during the special moves.

I'd definitely like to see them make another entry in the series. Prior to its release i kind of wanted SS to be the final entry for fear of the series getting dragged out, but SS really helped give it a new direction. I feel SP could make something really great if given some time to build upon what they achieved with SS.

Anyway, glad you liked it :D Hopefully Sunset Overdrive turns out to be just as fun. If it does i'll probably buy an X1 in November/December, the latter if i can't find much time for games :p

(I'll add you on PSN when i get the chance by the way)

Guerrilla Cambridge Working on “High Profile, Multi-Million Selling Franchise:” New Killzone Coming?

We already know that Guerrilla Cambridge is working on a PS4 game, and today we get more information on the studio’s plans thanks to a career opportunity ad published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe seeking a Audio Programmer.

Guerrilla’s Cambridge Studio (UK) is looking for an experienced Audio programmer to work on forthcoming projects in a high profile, multi-million selling franchise.

The successful candidate should have at least 3 years experience in the industry and possess excellent working knowledge of game audio systems. Ideally they should be a gamer who is driven to make the best sounding games available on any platform.

The ad also requires prior experience in console audio development and mentions “Improving and implementing in-house tools, engine and gameplay audio features” within the candidate’s responsibilities.

While we can’t be absolutely sure that the “forthcoming projects” indicated by this post are one and the same with the PS4 game we learned about a while ago, it’s definitely possible, as Guerrilla Cambridge isn’t an enormous studio.

As what this “high profile, multi-million selling franchise” could be, the most obvious solution would be Killzone, especially after Guerrilla Cambridge did a very well received job on Killzone: Mercenary for PS Vita.

Considering that the main Guerrilla studio is currently working on a new IP, it would stand to reason to think that the Killzone franchise may have been (at least temporarily) moved to the other side of the English Channel. That said, whatever that franchise is, it’s going to be a big one.

Of course we’ll have to wait for an official announcement from Sony to know more about this, but I can’t say it’s not intriguing.

It wouldn't surprise me if Cambridge would take over the Killzone franchise and Amsterdam moving on to new franchises.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Mercenary was the best Killzone imo so having Cambridge do that while the main studio does something else sounds good to me

Let's celebrate!

Well just platinumed (7th one overall) Infamous SS :D

Loved the ending bit where Delsin broke the fourth wall too. Can't wait for August's DLC of First Light!
And cool, add me Zekk :)
