Me too. But I gotta convince myself that nothing on that list will come true at E3.. x}

How do you guys feel about a new Homefront game? I played a bit of the first game and it was very generic, although the multiplayer was decent in the brief time I had with it.

I'm interested but skeptical.

Most likely would be Beyond Good & Evil 2 I would say, but yeah best to keep expectations in check

Rumors of a resistance are true. Crytek's sequel to the 2011 shooter Homefront from developer Kaos Studios has been officially announced. Co-published by Crytek and Deep Silver, Homefront: The Revolution is coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 sometime in 2015.

Taking place four years into the occupation of the US by Korean forces – as portrayed in the original game – Homefront: The Revolution follows a new set of characters as they battle for freedom throughout the war-torn streets of Philadelphia.

By recruiting resistance fighters and using guerilla tactics in an open-world environment, players can terrorize KPA troops and attempt to gain the upper hand either alone or along with friends in online co-op.

Crytek had originally been developing the sequel for THQ, prior to the publisher dissolving. When the publisher's properties were sold, Crytek purchased the franchise to preserve the work its team had put into the title. The Homefront sequel is in development at Crytek UK, formerly Team Radical.

The guys that made Spec Ops The Line have a new IP for E3

SCEA will at least announce one PS4/PS3 game and one PS4/PS Vita digital game since that will be streamed on Twitch. They'll also DriveClub, The Order: 1886, H1Z1, Hohokum, Helldrivers and Planetside 2.

Some indie 8bit experiment? I'm not very optimistic about these announcements. My overall E3 hype is just below freezing...

Uncharted for PS4 Now Directed by Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley; New Game in the Works
by Giuseppe Nelva

PS4NEWS

With the relatively recent departures at Naughty Dog, many were wondering about who is at the helm of the upcoming Uncharted for PS4, and perhaps unsurprisingly, we learned today that The Last of Us co-directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley have been asked to take up the mantle.

Naughty Dog co-founder Evan Wells mentioned that “they are excited as veterans of the Uncharted franchise to take the responsibility and they’re doing great.”

We also learn that (as we previously heard in passing during a previous interview, but today we get more detailed information) that another project on the same scale of Uncharted is in the early pre-production stages:

"We definitely have another project on the scale of Uncharted in very early pre-production stages. We have the sizable team that it takes to get something like that off of the ground, but it’s got a long runway in front of it. We have a lot of great ideas and some stuff that is already getting everybody jazzed and excited. So, it’s a long way off before we can really start talking about it in detail. But no, [Bruce and Neil working on Uncharted] is not going to impact our ability to keep that stirring that pot.

We’ve got the Uncharted project, which we’ve talked about, we’ve got DLC for The Last of Us, and we’ve got the remastered version [of The Last of Us]. We’ve got other projects in the works that are in the very early stages. We have at least four different pretty significant things going on right now."

Considering Druckmann’s and Straley’s success with The Last of Us, and their experience on the Uncharted series, it’s hard not to see the reasons behind their selection as co-directors of the new Uncharted.
Wells also defined the articles that alleged they were the ones that “forced out” former Creative Director Amy Hennig “really shoddy reporting,” and it’s hard not to agree with that as well.

So since Sony is announcing a PS4/PS3 title at E3

There really can only be 2 options, right?!
