This is marketing thing so it doesn't care about the rest of the seats in the cinema, focusing only on what is needed to be shown. 

They wouldn't show a picture like this if they didn't have a peculiar reason.

Marketing and advertising is about sending a messege. And this one is a bit of a game with the audience as well. They want us to guess, they want us to wonder about... it seems that way for me. I'm not saying that it's true... but this is my point.

But your scenario is working for me as well... I would be even more satisfied if they would fill up the whole cinema wih their new unveiled characters.

With your prediction we would've just spoiled the number of announcement that will take place! But including all the games that will be unveiled you just might be too close to the truth!

I think that this E3 will be rich in concent. I just so can't wait for it.
