Are hornets endangered in Germany? What exactly is the law that a person breaks when they kill a hornet? I'm curious

Yes they are.

Are you really going to make me look for the exact law here? I'm not a lawyer, you know. :D

It's BArtschV § 4, hope that helps, but taking a look at the law it seems that I'm good, doesn't mention the method I used to get rid of the thing. :P

I sprayed a wasp nest with WD-40 yesterday because it was all I had on hand lol

Btw. what's you guys' opinion on Until Dawn? I wasn't interested at first but after watching several videos it's somehow growing on me. It's definitely not going to be a masterpiece but it seems pretty entertaining.

Like a QD game not written by a guy totally oblivious to his own lack of writing talent.

I honestly don't know how I feel about the game. I definitely think it would be a game that I would enjoy playing with my friends and family, especially if we can get it at a discount price. I'm not a fan of horror, but it's something I can enjoy with other people.

How do you think it will be reviewed? I am honestly unsure. I am sure it will be criticized for the QTEs in the action segments (they're not even creative QTEs, unfortunately, in the action sequences. There are some intuitive and creative ones in the less intense scenes, but when you're running, it's literally just pressing a random button). While it has gotten significantly better, I can see it also being criticized for its dodgy framerate. I can also see it being criticized for an over-reliance on jump scares, because it's schlocky horror.

But at the same time, it's a game that I really, really want reviewers to be generous to, because it brings a lot of really interesting elements into the horror genre, even if the game is highly imperfect. I love the idea of the butterfly effect as it really will make the game significantly more intense. I also adore the fact that there are relationship values in the game -- I think that makes the concept of permadeath even more unsettling. Watching some intros, I also adore the jarring camera angles that are used. While people have complained about it, I actually really like the voice acting -- the voices fit whiny teenagers really well.

id have to disagree with you on that. heavy rain was great. i didnt play Beyond yet, but heavy rains story was pretty good. it wasnt no TLoU. but it was still good. better than most of the stories in most games anyway.

thats the stupidest law ever... ok not ever... the stupidest law ever was here in jordan, where if a woman was raped, the rapist must be trialed and sent to jail or given the death penalty or whatver, OR just marry the victim, you know, to "preserve her honor".

anyways, a hornets sting can kill a person if he/she is allergic or seriously hurt them. in public area's ok.. dont kill nest. but in a place of residence it should be allowed to get rid of them.

I think it'll review mediocre, better than the Order at least, but that really depends on how much the player will be able to influence the story and how much reviewers will be into the cheesy horror story that doesn't take itself too seriously. I wouldn't pay $60 for it but it just seems like a fun experience for $40 or so, if you can excuse the deliberate stupidity of the characters.

Well I only watched both games on youtube and Heavy Rain was decent aside from the atrociously bad mall scene at the beginning, but the core thing about the game is that choices really influence it.

Beyond was just not good imo because for 95% of the game it is just trying to tell you one, not particularly good, story that you can't influence at all.

And I feel that Cage is going to continue on that path of forgetting what made his one really successful game a success, which was giving players real involvement in the story and will instead blow his budget on Hollywood actors and will try to tell us his story instead of letting us make ours basically. And if you're trying to do that then your story can't just be "pretty good" it has to be absolutely stellar and if he was ableto do that he would make movies as he is imo the one game dev that really represents the cliche of the person that wants to make hollywood movies but isn't good enough for that so he settles for making cinematic videogames.

Just my opinion of course but I really don't like Cage.

Well it's not a law specifically about hornets but about a list of animals that are under special protection. Also it's not about whacking one with a newspaper in panic because it flew into your kitchen and wouldn't leave but about deliberately going out of your way and using certain methods to kill or lure these animals in. What ReimTime did would be illegal here, what I may or may not have done is still legal I think, but like I said I'm no lawyer.

I actually like the "hornets are assholes" kinda topics myself.
