Nature conservation legislation, hornets are an endangered species in germany.
Btw. what's you guys' opinion on Until Dawn? I wasn't interested at first but after watching several videos it's somehow growing on me. It's definitely not going to be a masterpiece but it seems pretty entertaining.
Like a QD game not written by a guy totally oblivious to his own lack of writing talent.

Are hornets endangered in Germany? What exactly is the law that a person breaks when they kill a hornet? I'm curious

"Unwarranted fear of V. crabro has often led to the destruction of nests. This has led to the decline of the species, which is often locally threatened or even endangered. European hornets benefit from legal protection in some countries, notably Germany, where it has been illegal to kill a European hornet or nest since January 1, 1987, with a fine of up to €50,000" |
We need that protection in North America for honeybees; but I digress

Yes they are.
Are you really going to make me look for the exact law here? I'm not a lawyer, you know. :D
It's BArtschV § 4, hope that helps, but taking a look at the law it seems that I'm good, doesn't mention the method I used to get rid of the thing. :P
Hornets are assholes.
