So on chapter 11/16 of The Order, this game wasn't deserving of all the hate at all! In my opinion.

The hate was mostly backlash. People were upset that the game wasn't this amazing, genre altering experience that it was hyped to be. People just hopped on board during the initial backlash and decided to cite the game as everything wrong with the current generation of gaming. Granted, it isn't some one of a kind game that is wonderful, but it isn't Hitler manifested as a video game either.

The hate was mostly unthinked.
People were hating on it just because it seemed like the cool thing to be doing, following the reviews.

The game was a piece of crap, all the hate it got was deserved. The only reason some people choose to defend it is because it was a PS4 exclusive, and they felt obligated to find something good in that mess of an abortion.

Had the game been multiplatform, it would have scored even worse and nobody would say anything nice about it (except graphics...ooh). And had it been a Ubisoft or EA game, it would have compounded the hate.

To say that people hated it because it was cool, bandwagon, or PS hate is just ridiculous, as it's giving it more credit than it deserves. Much more credit.

id have to disagree with that. it was an OK game, with a decent story. everything in the game par music and graphics needed to be better IMO. but it wasnt a shitty game. it was fun and entertaining. The Witcher 3 is miles and miles better than it. it cant hold its own against awesome games like farcry 4. but it isnt a turd.

if the game had a multiplayer it would have been a lot better IMO. keep in mind though, i got the game as a gift and didnt pay a cent. if i bought it for 60 bucks i would have been disappointed. its not worth 60$. for 20$ id actually say its a decent buy.

Yeah, I borrowed the game over the weekend, and felt that it wasn't worth my €0.

Maybe multiplayer could have helped it, but maybe that would have been terrible as well. One thing that it should have had was co-op, but that would have been hard to incorporate due to its pacing. But then maybe they could have added a Horde-type mode, or a Special Ops/Raid type missions. Anything to engage players a bit more, anything to shift the focus away from a terrible cliche story and poorly implemented gameplay elements.

multiplayer would have been awesome. the shooting mechanices were great!

the story was actually pretty interesting, the setting and lore were great. the two boss fights were intense. but the lower ranked lycan fights were horrible. it was like a PS1 game.

Outlast is a nice pick.

Yea I've played it a little; it's pretty good. Now how about any good upcoming horror games? Soma should be something special I'm thinking?

I''m definitely looking forward to Soma, really hope it will deliver.  Now that you mention it, horror as a genre is not well catered for so far this gen at all.
