yeah that "targeting" word is scary. its clear they are still using the same sentences from E3 when talking about a release date. but saying were "targeting" 2016 isnt the same as saying "its releasing 2016".

I think they are being deliberately diplomatic always want to have some wiggle room in case something goes wrong. Also there's marketing material at Gamescom that straight up says "coming 2016" :D

what marketing material?

and yeah it gives some wiggle room, but ughh.. i want them to be so sure that they dont need wiggle room.

It isn't really possible for them to know exactly when the game is going to be finished when they're likely more than a year away from completion. 2016 is their best guess but there's no reason to assert it as a fact when there's no way to be sure.

FF15 info is coming on a Sony conference, there is were they public will be looking at.
Dunno why people was expecting it now, really.

TGS will be great again.

Personally I was expecting it because they skipped E3 in favor of Gamescom. And we have had 2 demos already and countless PR yet no release date. I was expecting a whole lot more and what I saw wasn't impressive tbh

They'll show it, but when PS guys are paying atention.

Maybe TGS, maybe PSX, they showed stuff at PGW last year, Sony moving for it this year over Gamescom can fit that too.

If it was a conference were it wouldn't happen, it was Gamescom this year without Sony.

People were expecting when they shouldn't.

Well quite honestly Square Enix was making people expect that, I mean did you see their FFXV schedule for Gamescom?

They are clearly making a big deal out of the game at Gamescom (which also leads me to believe that the people jumping the gun and crying 2017 release are really getting ahead of themselves)

Well, they would show stuff from the game, of course, and they did.
But it just wouldn't get any major stuff like an official release date, why they would should exactly the only conference Sony wouldn't be present with a conference, where the huge majority of Final Fantasy customers come from, to do it? Would be really stupid.

Honestly the last big FFXV trailer was, as far as I remember, shown at TGS and while Sony did have a TGS conference, it was 2 weeks or so before the actual show so that wouldn't really have mattered. A good mainline Final Fantasy trailer pulls views with or without Sony close to it.

Do you think we'll see that this year?
And I'm talking about the release date/frame.

Maybe towards the end of the year, who knows.

well obviously, but still them using that "targeting 2016" isnt that reassuring.

Release dates are also not, they can end up delaying it.
You'll just be sure when you have it already xP

now thats just not good enough!

do you think we will see it as Paris Game Week? if there is a PSX i doubt we will, but if there isnt then i think we will. i wonder if there will be a PSX this year, with Paris Game week being 27th of Oct and PSX being early December that would mean just a little over a month between shows.

To be honest I would be surprised if Horizon isn't at Paris Games Week.

If Horizon isn't at PGW or PSX I'll consider throwing a brick through Guerrilla Games' window.
