lol at some of the comments. Funny thing is that people swear Ninty games are so much better than 3rd party ones are the same ones crying when a game doesnt get released on time or at all on a Ninty system. Either you care or you dont and judging by the sales. Most people dont and are content to buy them on another system or not at all.

I imagine it's just as funny as people bashing Mario and Zelda, then go to other forums and post how they wish Nintendo would just make games like Sega because they'd love to play Mario and Zelda on PS4.

not as funny considering, those types of threads are FAR less frequent

I find them to be FAR more funny, being how much hate is shown for those franchises. Lol.

I'll buy third-party titles on Nintendo systems if they interest me. I'm not interested in what EA, Activision, or Ubisoft generally offer so I don't buy their games regardless of what system they're on. The fact is, my time and money are valuable, and generally, if I have a choice between a Nintendo title and a third-party title, I'll choose the former almost every time. I enjoy them a lot more.

Basically what happened is this -- Nintendo fans used to buy tons of third party games. Then what used to be the Nintendo fan base became split after the N64.

You had one group who loved Mario/Zelda/Metroid/etc. so much that they were willing to stick with the N64 and continue on with the GameCube. This group of fans though was mainly fanatically about Nintendo's core IP, they didn't care much for third party stuff.

The second group of people who grew up with an NES/SNES liked Nintendo franchises, but also loved a wide range of third party support. When that became clouded by the N64, this chunk of fans bailed out on Nintendo for Playstation (primarily).

So the group of Nintendo fans that grew up with an NES/SNES and really loved third party games moved on. What was left was a fanatic core of Nintendo fans that primarily buy only Nintendo, which is basically the same situation we have today, just the Wii caused a temporary influx of casual gamers who have since moved on to smartphones.

thats a good chunk of 3rd party games right there. Hell you might as well say i dont really care for 3rd party games. Its not like the Japan publishers are doing much better Hell SE is probably the biggest one, and they put out a DQonline port that wont see the light of day outside Japan and Deus Ex an old ass port of a game that was developed by their western arm. Capcom is ports etc.

Because most of the hird party ggames are the worst of the best. Games many played on other systems already.

Case in point: Madden '13. Unique controls with gamepad, but this cool feature overshadowed by the outdated engine

Gaming since 1990

Because they are better on Xbox and PS. I have a PS3 and PS4 so if I had a WiiU I would prefer to play those games on better hardware, with trophies and the DualShock.

I actually own a lot of third-party games, but very few of them come from EA, Activision, or Ubisoft.  Fact is I don't give a damn about AssCreed, Call of Duty, Battlefield, or EA Sports regardless of platform. I buy a lot of Namco titles these days, for instance.
