It doesn't seem like you understand what I'm saying.

I'm not saying anything about diversity. Diversity is the cornerstone of the Playstation ecosystem. My concern is the inevitable influx of shovelware that we'll see on the PS4 that plagued the Wii and is currently plagueing Steam. So far, SONY has done a good job of keeping the garbage at bay. I even say this in my original post, so I don't understand why you brought up diversity and implied that I think that the current crop of indie games are trash. Re-read what I said, and you'll see that I never said that.

Why would you consider them shovelware because they don't interest you?  Shovelware are usually games made by large corporations as a means to cash grab whatever they can with little feeling or thought put into it.  I feel like you can guarantee that almost any Indie title that gets to this point is not a soulless cash grab, or at the very least they are the far minority.  

Like I said before what is a shovelware to you is not for you neighbor, or me, or other VGC user or any other PS4 user.

From your examples I liked Street Fighter The Movie... I had a lot of fun with it... it is not even the worst Street Fight ever released.

It is an absolute fact that that is the worst Street Fighter ever released. If you believe there is a worse Street Fighter game, that's fine. You're just wrong.

And E.T. (one of my other examples), is the epitome of shovelware. Just because someone likes the game for whatever reason doesn't mean that it is not shovelware.

Why are you quoting "trash" and "real" as if I used those words? I'm not asking for all AAA titles. But the influx of indys is a bit too much IMO. It seems that there's 1 game being launched per month with almost 10 indy games between. Outside of Strider and Dean Nation I can't think of one that I'd say is worth the time to play.

It'll be popular becauase liking indy games is a new thing now. Like hating iPhones/Android, hating Call of Duty, and hating any musician who wins a Grammy.

I feel that some indie games are getting a free pass to good review score. Of course, we can say the same for the most hyped AAA games. With PS+ I started trying more indie titles and in the end things are similar to AAA games: few are really great, some are good, some are bad. I really enjoyed Guacamelee and Hotline Miami. Sine mora and Lone Survivor were decent while Thomas Was Alone simply looked a completely overrated and pretentious game (that pales compared to Ibb and Obb). These kind of games have less content, but usually are way cheaper so things pay off. I'm currently very satisfied with getting 1 or 2 AAA games and some indies on PS3/PSV.

PS4 lack of AAA is probably normal for a launch console. I got my Vita close to launch and things simply sucked. Less than a year latter and I already had more interesting titles avaiable that I could buy. PS4 was hurt by delays on Driveclub and Batman too. Anyway, it will probably take until Q3-Q4 2015 to have a good library avaiable, but that's what buying consoles at launch usually do: you get it first, but you will suffer with the early issues. That's probably why launch titles always have high sales and its sequels usually fall hard (Motorstorm, Resistance) when they have to deal with increased competition. 

Watch any gameplay video of E.T. and tell me that it is not shovelware. Even the sole developer of the game says it sucked, and that he had to rush the game out because they only gave him like two weeks to create it.

Now onto how you're wrong.

Street Fighter is old and dated, Street Fighter EX, is slow and awkward, but neither are fundamentally broken movie tie-ins where Blanka looks like this. Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game basically took Street Fighter II: Turbo code, messed with it to add "new"  features (Which broke the gameplay) and re-skinned all of the characters to look like a Mortal Kombat clone. So yes, you're wrong.
