Have they said anything about the framerate that the 2 player online will run on? I remember them stating them for the other modes:

Singleplayer - 720p 60fps

2 Player Multiplayer - 720p 60fps

3 and 4 Player Multiplayer - 720p 30fps (Which sucks BTW).


Just like Mario Kart Wii (except for the resolution), disappointing. I remember it looked horrible compared to 1 or 2 player.

In MKWii you could also play 2 player online, and even then it was 30 fps too.

But are they still holding on to the horn? The red shell in particular could happen to come from someone who is behind first, but the first player is quite far away from 2nd, use the horn for the red shell, the Blue Shell holder will notice (as you said, the Gamepad shows everything), and immediately fire it while the player is still in the lead. Blue Shells are always a concern in first place, especially if they're "far ahead" in first. Unless you think they'll hold on to the horn still even after getting hit by something non-blue shell (while holding a large lead) and not use it for anything else other than Blue Shells since people seem to be quite afraid of them.
