Forums - Gaming - Update! I thought I'd give you guys a look at the latest build of Unreal Engine 4, High Quality screens now in OP

Gotta ask though, did you really take those shots yourself, or just take them from one of these?

Seems like the exact same shots

You didn't look very hard, did you...

The ones in the Op are from slightly different angles and such. Unless it's just a static room which wont vary anyway. They are shots of the same rooms basically, but at different angles/camera positions.

You're right ^^
My bad

Question: Are these demos interactive or just a camera on rails?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Good. Next gen systems need games with that engine asap.

Haha, I have a PC that utterly smashes every console ever made. I think a LOT of you guys are spoiled by bullshots companies have put out over the years. This is 100% real time on my own rig, and in motion its damn impressive.

Leave it to Vgchartz to toxic this place up though, I swear every thread, every time.

To bad for you then that Watch Dogs will probably look better on PS4 than on PC. In other words please stop bragging about your PC, yes PC's are more powerfull but most people don't care.

Aparently the Giantbomb guys saw it at a preview event a week or two back and said the PC build looked noticeably better.

OT: I downloaded the Elemental demo myself (someone packaged up the demo and released a standalone build) but I can't say I was terribly impresed with the performance (every time the camera angle changed it would drop to 1fps for a second and then come back up was especialy annoying), especialy considering it doesn't have the SVOGI from the first showing . And a lot of the texture work honestly looks pretty below par up close, and the physics are real floaty looking the rubble look like styrofoam.  Prticle effects are still real nice looking tho.

you can download Elemental here http://www.mediafire.com/download/rb4iqf555iakxbt/Elemental.rar if anyone is interested. You may also need to install this http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784 if you get a missing dll error on startup.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Looks pretty good for an unreal engine. Proprietary engines will destroy it though.

excellent

I only see effects and cleaned up stuff (clear water in the underground is the best haha, have you ever seen a dirty pond of water? It doesn't reflect like that, they are just putting light sources everywhere and shiny reflections). Nothing that tries to look real, more like a shopped picture taken by a good photographer. It's more like you are spoiled by today's media and ads then when you think this looks awesome (or you prefer effects over realism). It doesn't to me and as it seems to lots of others.

Even more Hollywood-like games confirmed...

Looks good to me.
