Forums - Gaming - Things you dont like in gaming

As time is changing my taste in gaming changing dramatically. Games / genres that I used to love doesnt appeal me like past. So I am citing things / genres that I dont like. I kinda hate them. This is my opinion and please dont hate me for having an opinion.

Turn based mechanism: This is the most annoying thing that I cant stand. Sure, in past I used to like it. Games like civilization were my favorite. But I cant stomach them now days. Especially in third person games its beyond annoying. Example, Final fantasy or pokemon. Yeah. I said it. Good games have been ruined by it. Like, valkyria chronicles or ni no kuni. Burn me.

Yearly sequels: COD, Fifa or Assassins creed. I often ask myself how come people are playing same game over and over again. But its their choice.

Racing sims: I do enjoy normal racing "stuffs" in games like GTA (which is not racing at all). Arcade onces or simulation onces IMO they are like going in a straight line without any freedom. We are just following a green / red line (I know we can turn it off) to go in a certain distance. Meh. Despite this I enjoyed forza 3 and I dont know why I liked it, which is IMO best racing game of 7th gen.

Launching a game like BF4 through the fucking Web Browser
DRM
Paid Online Services even though Steam does it for free (with arguably more and better features)
Bugs that have still not been fixed even after 4 months
Unoptimized games
12 year olds in online

Launching a game like BF4 through the fucking Web Browser = I have no problem but in BF3 I lost all of my progress and thanks to origin for that.

DRM = Yeah.

Paid Online Services even though Steam does it for free (with arguably more and better features) = In consoles you have no options.

Bugs that have still not been fixed even after 4 months = BF4???

Unoptimized games = Yup.

12 year olds in online = Annoying.

Unlocking the final difficulty. It's just a way to artificially extend the replay value of your game. I just want to play on the hardest the first time through. Why do I have to go through TWO playthroughs of something just to get my hard playthrough done? It has something to do with my personal methods because I like to play through on the hardest my first time and then coast on easy from then on when I go back to replay the game in later years.

I don't like online getting shoved into game mechanics. If you want to do DRM then for all I care make all single player games always online but stop ruining my games by letting other people into it.
