Well the Death Note "Better world" plan was always a stupid one.

It would be apparent that those are dieing are only those in the papers/who get caught.

So it wouldn't REALLY change the crime rates that much as nobody expects to be caught.

Information about criminals would just start being made confidential.

I want to say they did this and they he started relying on the internet to get names and pictures of people who did stuff... but then THAT is just hearsay and half the people who die probably aren't even people who did anything.

I'd write Kim Jong Un, and anyone who takes his place.

I would write down a very well known leader who is corrupt and powerful while the book is almost done burning. This will prevent me to write more names.

Actually that's smart. I'd also put Bashar as Assad and any other dictator. 

You write the name down of this leader who you have decided deserves to die, and he dies. Wouldn't you want to take this further now you know it works? Why stop at one leader?

He'd probably be glad he didn't the moment a gigantic bloody civil war breaks out to see who will replace a seemingly healthy dictator who died before proper succession plans could be put in place.

Unless he was being cute and meant Obama or something.  (guessing it wouldn't be bush since it seems implied he's still a leader)

Still if he meant Obama, that means Joe Biden would be president... which actually might be worse, as Joe Biden is fucking insane.   If he was president right now we'd probably invade Russia because Putin insulted his intellegence.
