Throw in Conker as well, and I say yes.
nice

Definitely! I'd like that cause MS won't be making a Banjo game unfortunately. After the poor sales of Nuts and Bolts, I doubt they will make another game. MS won't make a game that will not sell very well.

Both BK and Conker would be good (perhaps Nintendo could get full rights to everything from Diddy Kong Racing). So would Battletoads, Killer Instinct, Perfect Dark, and Jet Force would also be nice. Alas, it is almost guaranteed not to happen. |
They should have bought them when RARE wanted to sell out to NIntendo. One of their biggest mistakes ever.
Wii could of had some great gap fillers from these franchise and WIi U could of had some more bullets for launch and be able to provide the IP for constant release cycles.

I feel the same way.
If Microsoft doesn't think the series would sell well on X1 why not greenlight a Banjo title for 3DS? That way the IP stays with Microsoft but fans get to experience a new game, and on a platform that doesn't compete directly with X360/X1.

Nintendo wouldn't buy Conker. BK, maybe but not Conker.

Out of curiosity, how much would the buy-out have cost Nintendo? I know Microsoft payed a staggering $375 million, but how much was expected from Nintendo?
Does the Rare we knew even exist anymore? I thought Microsoft fired most of the original crew and the original founders left.
New Rare probably can't make a Banjo any more/less than New Square cant make a Final Fantasy .
If anything Id like Conker as a Wii U exclusive.
Nintendo currently needs to expand their library in all genres...except for platformers, so no.
What sort of numbers did Banjo do anyways? Nintendo might do something if it was a big seller, but really I don't think it sold more than a couple million. Unfortunately that isn't that much for Nintendo. That's probably why they've just been stringing us along with the series. Why make another game with mediocre sales when you can have them make mario party which sells like 10 mill each release.
It's the same reason Retro made another Donkey Kong game instead of metroid or something else. Donky kong sold a lot of units, Metroid was pretty mediocre.
