People are going to like what they like.  There is big factors and small factors and i think it is important to view other people's perspectives rather than just dismissing them as we so often see.

And by that logic pretty much anything related to a console war should stop. At least how I see it.

List wars is just a small symptom of the overall console wars, so that makes sense

Yep they are just awful.

It doesn't matter if a console has 10,000 games or 100 games. What matters is it value to you as a consuner and if you feel the product gives you value and enjoyment for your purchase.

Things like list wars actually make me embarrassed to be part of the gaming community when I see them.

Having the most threads about a console does not make the console better

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Seriously though, there was a time when we'd have these "list wars" and half the games wouldn't even be released or exclusive. If I didn't have a life, I could go back and find lists comparing games like Huxley (360 game that never released) and Final Fantasy vs. XIII (PS3 game that never released) or Metal Gear Online and MGS4 as two different games.

Lists are usually biased and dumb.

Pfft, you would say that since your threads just aren't as good as WessleWoggle's! Here's a list of his threads to show that he is vastly superior than any list of threads you could muster up!

  • I have liver cancer!
  • Someone talk to me I'm lonely
  • I wiped too hard a drew blood
  • I'm high on ecstacy
  • I am the Buddha Maitreya
  • You're all emos
  • Doing acid
  • I'm scared of AIDS
  • Cousix Sex?
  • Hot Peppers and Beer

And many many more. This is concrete proof that Wessle is better than Jay!*

*That was painful to type...

Pfft.  I can provide a list of Snake612 threads that blows your list away.

"To show you that the whole truth isn’t always presented"

I 100% agree with that.
The PS4's game list is just a part of the whole truth on why its doing so well.

People need to stop assuming the games right now is the only thing that matters.

List wars really just need to stop.  does not understand when to use 'is' and when to use 'are'. Hint: Plural = are. Singular = is.

when one uses the term *should* then one is making a meta-ethical assertion. why *ought* one not make lists exactly is not anywhere to be found in any objective sense. your comments were replete with subjective musings and ramblings of incoherence in stark contradiction to the very argument you were making. furthermore, you have built your argument upon a vacuous foundation, in that you essentially commit a hypocrisy. a list, in and of itself, is objective - one's evaluation of a particular list would be subjective, yet you claim that your opinion that lists are pointless is somehow worthy of consideration over someone else's opinion that lists are useful. and for this, I say you clearly lack the mental dedication necessary to pontificate upon these such issues.

I dunno, I find enjoyement reading list wars!

I am the same way.  Even though i know the purpose, most times, I have no clue all the games coming out within a year so its a quick view.  As for the fanboy in fighting list cause, I rarely dig deep enough in the posting to waste the limited time I have on such things.
