If the NA price is supposed to be $350, why on earth would anybody buy it? One could buy the Zelda or NSMBU bundle for $300 and buy Mario Kart separately for $50 or $60.

Hopefully, the $350 bundle is a "premium" SKU and includes all of this stuff...

... and there will be a regular bundle with just the game for $299.  Otherwise, Nintendo is in serious trouble in more ways than one.

That would actually be a really good deal.

I agree.  A Wii Remote Plus alone is around $35, so anyone who wants one and the extra stuff is making out fine at $349.

But Nintendo needs to offer a plain MK8 bundle at $299 for new consumers who just want the game.  Otherwise, just like with Tropical Freeze, people will be forced to spend $300 + $50/$60 just to be able to play the new release that they're excited for, and Ninty desperately needs that $299 price to be the total cost of admission for people that just want to play some Kart.

The point is.. What a nice console bundle.. damn.. (imo Nintendo has a winner here)

Can't understand why all the WiiU haters come in this tread and start talking (i'm nice) about price.. you don't even want the console.. ?

I'm kinda surprised to see so many $ signs in this thread, given that the OP link is only discussing the confirmed EU bundle.

Adding the Wiimote and Steering Wheel is a nice touch, but hopefully there's an extra bundle for people who want the bare minimum (system+game) to keep the price low. The game guide seems pointless...didn't even realize they made those for Mario Kart.

BenVTrigger said it'll be $350 for the U.S., and he's said to be a reliable source. Makes perfect sense as I can't see Nintendo throwing all that stuff in for free.

Ben said Gamestop has a bundle listed at $349; he specifically says in his first post that an additional, cheaper one could be a possibility.

And if a $299 bundle is planned, then it makes perfect sense that the $349 price would indeed include all of those extra things to increase the value to the consumer while making Nintendo money.  A Wiimote costs them very little to manufacture and things like the plastic wheel and players guide are chump change to them.

I was simply explaining where the dollar sign came from. I don't really care either way about the price, as I already got my Wii U for a better deal! ^_^

Its coming to NA for $349.99. Or at least ours is. Not sure if ours is different fron other retailers though and if there will be a cheaper option

349? That is rediculous. I hope it does well for Nintendo's sake, but I would not want to be the one to purchase it for that amount. What?  10 dollars savings?

I really think this is what will be $349:

Like many people have pointed out, it doesn't make sense that a plain MK8 bundle would be $349.
