I wonder if their trade-in policy will be the same with phones.

Maybe they'll take my iPhone for $10

More than I would give you for it! =D

I do agree Gamestop gives you to little for items you give them but they do not force you to trade stuff in to them. It is the person's choice to do it. I only trade anything in when I really really hate a game. I keep 95% of my games. 50+ games on PS2 and PS3 and 40+ on SNES and probably 30+ on N64

Welcome to the forum, I truly enjoy your posts, Master of Greyskull.

I'm glad. I like Gamestop, or EB Games as we Canadians call it. If they need to diversify to have a solid business case for selling games, so be it. I'm fine if it becomes EB Games and Poutine.

Also, this is good prep work for the coming Nablet, N-Phone and VitaXperia.

More and more people buy their games as digital version so that a decrease in retail sales is obvious over the long run. But that doesn't mean that sales of these games go down, just that people think “a fast download is better as driving to a store for my ohh so hardcore game“.

Not to forget that many games don't even release asvretail version nowadays because they sell good enough as digital only game.

Ya I realized EB Games takes used phones and tablets for credit. Pretty smart actually.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

GameStop isn't abandoning games.

Games are abandoning GameStop.

The return of the mom and pop video game stores.

So how are they going to make money off it? Peoole dont buy tablets at gamestop even now. People dont buy pre paid cards. So what are they going to make a physical version of a mobile game on an sd kind of storage? After they get a cut and card manufactureing you could be paying about thrice as much than if you just downloaded it.. It is unlikely it will happen, but just selling prepaid cards not gona do any good
