I bought this for PS3 on PSN and I still play it sometimes.

So. Much. Goodness.

Hey, I just bought it off PSN because I heard they were making every PS1 game Vita-compatible and it was the first thing I wanted to try out!

Awesome game.  Presinct assault mode is still one of my favourite modes in anything ever.

Ape the Lad, once you see it you can't unsee it.

Hmm....some forgotten gems. Let me see what I can come up with.

-Wizards and Warriors for the NES was a lot of fun and had some creative weapons and equipment. It was frustrating but still a great game.

-Rise of the Kasai for the PS2 was less acclaimed than Mark of the Kri but I enjoyed it a bit more. Maybe because of the female character. Who's to say?

-On the PS1, there was the epic Brave Fencer Musashi that was so charming, I think I'll check the PSN and see if it's downloadable for the Vita. I had sold my N64 and needed a Zelda replacement. Musashi looked like a Zelda game but turned out to be a magical experience on its own.

-Available on the eShop was one of my favorite "Metroid-Vania" games for the SNES called Demon's Crest. Playing as a demon doesn't seem as appealing in this day and age but at a time when devs were willing to take more risks, this game really stood out for me.

-Finally, I'll name the N64 game Blast Corps. Your job is to clear the way for a missle that's...you know what? Your job is to blow shit up. That was the premise and, at the time, the explosions were spectacular. A symbol of the "Old Rare" and their ability to think outside of the box.

One of my all time favorites. One of the first games that made me into a gamer.

Great work on this thread, guys. So many forgotten gems, and many I've never heard of before.

Elebits as a forgotten Ip...definitely. The gameplay was amazing, but the story was ATROCIOUS! Sorry for the caps, but that's just how I feel about that.

@D21Lewis...Wizards and Warriors was another, like Karnov, that had so many items to use. Cloak of Darkness comes to mind. It definitely was reminiscent of Metroid because of the vertical shafts, but far more linear. Can't believe it didn't survive, but I do think that it might have had something to do with kids moving away from things labeled Wizards, Warriors, or Dungeons or Dragons. Wasn't the sequel Ironsword. Never played it.

One of the best platformers the original Xbox had to offer, that's for sure!
