Forums - Gaming - Xbox One Version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Game Canceled or Delayed? Completely Axed from Official Site

The Xone version was probaly the last on the pipeline and is easy to assume they couldn´t manage to port it in time.

And the time and effort would pay-off. Or any one here belive the game would sell more than 50k on the XOne?

Well as a Wii U owner I read all the time from developers that we aren't getting 3rd party mulch-platfroms because the install base just isn't there. Could that be the possible reason X1 is getting some canceled/ or delayed run-around.

It seems that Bobby Kotick is still upset over the whole Ward-Zampella-Respawn deal. Next up on the chopping block: XOne version of Destiny. I'm sure they can think of a reason why in due time.

now THAT would be out of control

It was a partial joke, but it isn't that unlikely that Activision is sending a message via smaller games to somehow muscle Microsoft into lowering their licensing fee for future releases.

honestly? I dont think ANYTHING is impossible anymore at this point in gaming. I mean, this makes so little sense that they HAVE to have a good reason for it. So if they pull this with Destiny, i wouldnt even be surprised.

Wow 3 bans already in this thread. Record??

Ot: probably couldnt get the game optimized in time for release.

Ironic. Maybe you need to look again...

The update is there... ?

Yeah, but not what Activision said...

Update: MCVUK got official word from Activision, confirming that the Xbox One version has either been delayed indefinitely or canceled outright:

LOL that original update summaries what they said. Not need to be said twice in two different ways.

This reminds me that i noticed the other day that "bound by flame" is coming to ps3, ps4 an 360, but not X1.

I wonder if the fact that the system only penetrated one market is starting to have repercussions.

Out of all the responses so far this seems the most likely to me, although I believe Spider weren't able to get development kits in time and that is why Bound By Flame isn't being released on the Xbox.

That's interesting. Its not a big deal cause this game will sell poorly, but could games skipping the X1 start happening often?
