Yeah they'de have to off-set it somehow. Make the prizes a little more expensive or something. There's some logistics and financials that would need to be worked out, but I'm sure it could work somehow.

Oooor how about this. Keep the achievement system, but instead of coins you earn tity points. There's a little PG13 picture of the tities in the top right corner of the screen. As you earn more points they start to grow! eventually the shirt starts to rip..! Now you need to ask yourself.. do you spend those points for sweet club Nintendo swag? or do you try to make the shirt rip right off?..

Or better yet, fuck the achievement system and go with the stamps and tits! Stamps to post on miiverse and tits to keep you fapping

So, what they should do is instead of useless trophys/achievements, they should put in stamps! You know, like the ones in 3d World that you can post on miiverse to make your (mine specifically) stick figure drawings look less ass. So for example, you bought Senran Kagura Burst? Great! Here are a bunch of PG13 tits that you can post on miiverse. You bought Smash bros? Cool! Here is a stamp of hawt Samus that you can put on miiverse! You managed to finish Ninja Gaiden 3? Awesome, heres a stamp of Ayane Etc, its unique, a shit ton less useless and makes sense for Nintendo.

Everything else you pretty much said is a nice idea though

Ooooh yeah, count me in! Great way to increase sales too!

They need a better online infrastructure before they can move to achievement systems.

Not a bad idea but I would rather they expand on the Deluxe Digital Promotion and put codes in retail cases you can also redeem for points towards the promotion.

For those that aren't aware of the Deluxe Digital Promotion, it gives you back 10% of what you purchase on the eshop but in $5 increments. So for every $50 dollars you spend you get a $5 dollar code for the eshop.

If they expand this program to include codes in retail copies of games I think it would help drive sales up also. And games bought on the eshop also give you coins on club nintendo so I don't see why they couldn't include the club nintendo codes too.

Money back for the eshop= more money spent on games.

I think that`s a good idea, but Nintendo should go beyond that and do something special.

Instead of giving people gifts for the achievements, why not create a free game where you can, not just battle character vs character, but console vs console.
What i mean is that in a game you get the chance to evolve your character, but the problem is that it`s just ingame. What if you can take all the purchases you make (1st party and 3rd party - by genre too), how much you advance in games, how much you use the consoles apps, what programs you adhere too, and make it all count to develop your console character and then create a fictional character in said free game and fight other console/players worldwide?

People seem to love achievements and online competitive play. That could be a good way to make Wii U stand out.


Also, if people buy Nintendo consoles for Wii U games, why not ease that process and allow for people who download a 1st party exclusive to sell the digital license after owning for, like,6 months. If you keep it for a longer time, Nintendo will reward you - like Banks and interests.

More people would be willing to buy a Wii U (more would be xposed to 3rd party games too) seeing as they can buy the digital version and then resell it if they wanted to sell it to buy something else. Like a exclusive 2nd hand gaming store.
