Looking at UK charts this week, it is about split xbox/playstation. 0 Wii U games and 0 3DS games. Nintendo is known for their exclusives but it seems like the western market is rejecting them. Xbox and Playstation are great consoles for playing multiplats and they are thriving in the UK! Does the UK prefer multiplats to exclusives?

Im UK and people here just love cod and Fifa. Pretty much split between ps3 and 360. Ds and 3ds are fairly popular with younger gamers though so there is hope for Nintendo but it needs more pokemon and animal crossing etc.

Nintendo isnt really a strong brand in the UK these days, all my friends have Playstations and Xboxes and look at me as an outcast because im a Nintendo gamer. Their game libraries usually consist of COD, FIFA, Need for Speed, GTA etc, thats fine those games are good, but i much prefer playing Nintendo first party games and interesting titles like Zombi U and W101.
Niche titles apeal to me more, and Nintendo do have a lot of good niche games on their consoles- Little Kings Story, Zak and Wiki, Madworld to name a few.
Wii U titles have charted in the UK top 10, but due to the low install base they have faded away after a few weeks.

I guess the UK doesn't like the good ol' plumber anymore..

I share your pain mate. However more off my friends are actually aware of it now and one friend bought one last week after playing mine.

Maybe they prefer both at the same time and that's why they don't buy WiiU?
