Very unlikely, PS4 will without a doubt win the generation in the Usa.

even with price cut and a mega hyped FPS made by COD dev and offered for free, it had almost no effect to close the gap.

So what will help ? a remake of Halo 2 ? No, i dont think so. By then, the gap will be bigger thanks to Watch Dogs and all the other release benefiting much more to the PS4.

So only a real big exclusive like Halo 5 or Gears can save the throne of Microsoft, but they'll come too late to close the gap, Halo 5 end of 2015 obviously and Gears 2016.

At best it'll be 50/50 with the PS4 but that will still represent a massive decline from the 360 (unless you think both consoles can do 40 million+)

Pretty good chance. Since the rest of the world is lost anyway MS will throw all their eggs into that basket and kill it.

I think it has a chance because of the games. People in America (Canada included) like party games, multiplayer games, music games, competitive shooter games... well anything that has multiplayer in it and MS always exceled in those compared to Sony where they solely focus on single player experiences with tacked on multiplayer.

We should also note that it's still early in the generation, Kinect hasn't had time to shine yet and games like Halo, Just Dance, Dance Central, Gears and Guitar Hero will do more for Xbox than Uncharted and crew will for Playstation. I know the internet is full of hardcore gamers but things might change a little bit in the long run when both companies unveil their casual gaming portfolio. Imo MS wins America on this one.

No chance, people forget PS4 did 2-1 sales in Feb and only a unofficial price cut and a Titan giveaway gave them parity in sales. So is this how MS will pull 50% market by constant game giveaways. So will they pack in Halo and Gears for free ? Because its clear the only way they matched PS4 a non big exclusives at the time PS4 is to give away massive ones of their own.

By the second week after Tiatanfall, PS4 is already out selling X1 in USA as per vgc. X1 will out sale PS4 how exactly when a mere week after a massive exclusive PS4 is already beating it ?

It would likely be close in my opinion if not for the regions outside America.

If the PS4 as a whole sells more overall then third parties may be more willing to go exclusive for the PS4.

I think it's possible. The gap will be a lot smaller than last gen though, and the huge foreign gap will easily give PS4 the WW lead.

It's possible, but I don't think it will be easy, and I don't see any level of dominance. I personally think in the end it may be slightly in the favor of XBO, but not by any significant margin.

Possible but I dont think MS will make the choices needed to make it happen.
