Forums - Nintendo - If I ran Nintendo of America (Just One Thing)

If i ran Nintendo of America there would be one thing I would do. It would be at E3 and I would have the lights go out, then lots of nice rave style lights start going on. They would run for about thirty seconds then completely shut off. Slowly the screen comes on and the words Punch Out break through a body punching bag. With the lights out still  T.V. goes off its complete darkness for ten more seconds. Then lights come onand there he stands Gentlemen, and the few ladies in here, Mike Tyson!!!

Yes i think it is time for Nintendo to bring back Mike Tyson for Punch Out. Iron Mike is not the same crazy, deranged person he once was. He is very calm, mellow, and respectful human being now.  After watching Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth on HBO (it was really good, by the way) I realised how awesome he would be back with this franchise. That hour special showed all the shit he has been through, the bad decisions he made, which he takes full responsibilty for.  He also, sad to say, had to go through a loss of a child. A daughter who was 4 that drowned, this is what he said made him realise how shitty he was as a father, husband, and human being. Also, making poor decisions on who hung around with, becoming partners with Don King, and marrying Robin Givens, who was fucking Brad Pitt on the side, really was what put him that tailspin. If you have not seen that special check it out.

If Nintendo made this move it would definitly be a money maker. People would buy the downloadable, original version of  Mike Tyson's Punch Out in droves. Then they can re-release the Wii Punch Out on the Wii U just upgrading to HD and adding him as the Last Main Boss, maybe even bundling it with a  Wii Fit Board. Also making a 3DS version as well.

Well there it is my fellow gamers my little fantasy. I think its time Mike Tyson comes back to Nintendo

If I ran Nintendo of America my body would be ready.

I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

I'm a gamer with one of the greatest hobbies and I want to share this greatness with everyone.

Honestly, I'd need more autonomy from Nintendo of Japan, I think it is clear that they are calling all the shots in NoA these days and the brand is suffering for it.

The few games that probably could draw decent sales if promoted are sent out into the cold with little more then a Nintendo Direct as advertisement (shout out to Wonderful 101 and Wii Fit U) and in general the focus of the company has gotten less bold and willing to take chances despite the fact that in the age of digital distribution we find ourselves in Nintendo and most developers have the luxury to do so if they don't try to be graphical powerhouses with each release. Nintendo of America once had enough control they could commission their own games (mostly sports games) but now it looks more like a shell of itself.

In all seriousness:

Mike Tyson for Smash.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Yes Nintendo should put a rapist on stage at E3. That will win the gamers back.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

It really doesn't make any sense (to me), why Ninty would rather cater to 128 mil Japanese audience, instead of the 1.2 billion+ NA&Euro market.
