Ugh. No.

The WiiU is a great console for the Nintendo franchise games. It has a weak CPU and a decent enough GPU.

However, it is not as fast as the XB1 let alone the PS4.

The figures on the PS4/XB1 are quite ludicrously wrong as well.

Truthfacts :

The XB1 has a DDR3-shared memory system feeding a Jaguar 8-Core CPU with a roughly 7790-level GPU.

The PS4 has a GDDR5-shared memory system feeding a Jaguar 8-Core CPU with a roughly 7850-7870-level GPU.

Because DDR3 is so slow for graphics work (look up Radeon 6670 DDR3 vs. GDDR5 variants for example), the XB1's GPU is more accurately equal to something in the range of a 7750 even after considering the best-case scenario for the on-die added memory.

The WiiU's hardware is fine for most things, and exceptional for Mario/Zelda/Kart/Smash/etc. It's also well suited for a SoC revision down the line to really cut costs. But it is not even close to PS4 levels, and still below XB1 levels of raw power.

All that said, SM3DW is the best next-gen game to date easily, and the U has a bright future ahead for what it is. It's always needed the complete lineup of 1st party exclusives, and once they're all accounted for, lots of people will love having it as a 2nd console (makes more sense to go PS4 + U or XB1 + U than it does to go XB1 + PS4 considering 90% of PS4/XB1 games will be multiplat).

And the Nintendo die-hards only need 1 or 2 or 3 of those great 1st party exclusives to jump in.

Don't try to make it what it's not, it's just silly, needless, and does an injustice to what Nintendo has and can accomplish with their resources, and for their fans. Their biggest mistake imho was the tablet thing, but look at 3DS, it's the poster child for 'doooom' that turned out fine once the games started flowing.

A $249 or $199 WiiU + SSB/Kart/Zelda/Metroid/yadda will sell hand over fist as the extra console du jour. Especially if PS4/XB1 are going to be chock full of pretty, but not exceptionally memorable games. Both Titanfall and ISS are good games, but both will be basically forgotten as soon as the next AAA hype releases drop by.

I agree with you, PS3 did great with Last of US, beyond and God of war ascension last year with optimizations just like Mario kart has for Wii U. However, Mario kart is a racing game with cartoon vistuals which looking so good because of the art and design mostly not due to technical power of Wii U but not complex world like Open world and action/adventure games.

Technically it is absolutey brilliant, no matter how you try to disagree. And you are agreeing with me, PS3 is not able to render the game this way, it would need more power -> WiiU is more powerful and 30% - 40% is not a little more, of course.
