Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I don't really buy your story to be honest. If you were really just spamming A, your friend must have literally walked off the stage for you to beat him.

Anyway, it's a fun game. That's all that matters to me.

The game is just fun. I'm not a huge fan of nintendo mascots but I do enjoy playing the game a lot when it's with 3 other people. It's just hectic and hilarious. Obviously, I prefer all stars but it's essentially the same concept. Crazy, hectic, fun match ups with your favorite characters.

Few problems with your post.

1. Sounds like you have barely touched the game or played enough to "HATE IT WITH A PASSION"
2. For having barely played said game you seem to know a lot of gliches or other things that I never noticed and I've played hundreds of hours.
3. Your friend flat out sucks horrendously if a new player no matter how many games they have played is able to beat him when he is a veteran smash player.

Looking at all those 3 facts above, you are either contradicting or flat out lying and this post is just flame bait.

As for its appeal?  It's a fun game to play.  This is true of most Nintendo games.  No worry of epic story, or breathtaking graphics or whatever you want to tote.  At the end of the day Nintendo tends to put out games that are FUN.  That's their Appeal.

I guess I can't say you make too many SSB threads anymore since I've been doing similarly with MK8 hehe.

For anyone who thinks there is no skill involved in smash, watch this documentary on smash brothers. It tells the story of the hardcore smash community and how battle tactics have evolved and have grown more complex over time. This is a must watch for anyone who is even remotely interested in smash brothers, or anyone who just likes to see a good gaming documentary.
