Although I say get a red card to get a 5% savings along with your purchase, go for it anyway. I got the Zelda Wii U bundle for my niece at the price of $225.00 Since I worked at target at the time I got 25% off with some discounts.
Then realized I really wanted the Zelda Wii U I bought one for myself at gamestop when they phased out th Wii U zelda edition.
How could such a big participant in the Mario Kart 8 hype train not even have a Wii U of his own? Is my whole life made up of nothing but big, fat lies?
You should get it. In that case you would be able to buy games before MK8 comes out, because we all know MK8 will be a leech on everyone's time. You won't have any time for much of everything else.

Basically you sign up for Target's red card service, they will need your bank account routing number. With that they will make your purchases with the red card using the money from your bank account saving you 5% on all of your purchases. It's the same thing using your debit card, but with the red card service you save that 5% and the transaction takes two days to post to your statement.

I think the time has come to pull the trigger and go ahead and get yourself a Wii U. NSMBU is a pretty awesome platformer, and getting Mario Kart8 for $14 (tax included) is a hell of a deal! Plus, I don't think there will be a Mario Kart 8 bundle till holidays, and getting the system early will give you time to become acclimated to the Gamepad.
