Hmm solid game and fun to play.

The main storyline was a bit short though and the missions weren't as well done as in previous infamous games. I also thought the story lacked intensity...what kept me going was the prospect of new powers

Traversal through the world has always been the strength of the infamous series...just zipping around and gliding with the various powers is super fun. I thought they could have done much more with the platforming..its really that satisfying. By more i mean they could have done some missions which focused around platforming (like they did in infamous 2) and the different powers could have been more varied when it comes to moving around the word.

Also the powers...a bit disappointing that each power is basically just a slight variation of the previous (there are some exceptions!).I mean is that really all they could come up with -_-

If they can vary the powers a bit more (both combat and traversal), create a more engrossing, intense story, vary the gameplay (focus on platforming and combat), put some more thought into the mainline missions (previous infamous games had a nice variety imo) and just in general put some more thought into the decisions they make with regards to the game then i think infamous could be a 10/10 game.

As for the future of the series...i think they need to add some light RPG elements to keep things fresh. Perhaps have a branching skill tree which covers different powers. Players will be able to come up with different combinations of combat powers and traversal powers etc. They could somehow link this up to the story as well as the karma system. This would require a more deeper game though and probably more dev time. Not sure if Sony would be willing to do that or if Sucker Punch is up for that.

Anyone got the platinum? I thought they should have added some more fun trophies and less of the mundane ones.

I liked the trophies like "stay in the air for 45 seconds" or "comet drop for x amount of meters"....they pretty obvious on how to do but it at least requires a bit of thought and planning

Driving the DUP out of every area on the other hand....meh.

I just got the platinum last night.

I think that playing as an evil Delsin is way more fun.  I hope there is DLC with more powers, in some of the of audio logs you pickup they mention that there are conduits with other powers at Curden Cay Station Glass, Paper, etc

My only gripe with the game is that they really didn't flesh out the Concrete power.  L1 just makes you jump higher?  There is no Ultimate karmic power?  C'mon.

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Spoilers ahead.

It's the worst of the 3. The story is terrible. His brother still being proud of him even when he was a mass murderer just didn't fit right. And if he was really evil by the end why did he care about going back to save the Akomish. Also don't like how they ended both different because they will just go with the more popular ending again and it won't fit with the next game unless it is a new protagonist. At least IF2 got away with it by just saying Cole was dead. But in the next one if you are Delsin playing as Evil and the Akomish are alive it just wont feel right, although I must admit I laughed when he murdered them all. Some things just don't fit well with one of the stories. They should have changed more in each play through. The first two did this a lot better. I personally didn't like O to get every where super quick. Actually climbing buildings is terrible. It's the same awkward looking jump every time. The first two actually made scaling buildings fun. I just preferred to take my time getting places but with the jump in this one I never bothered with that. Neon and Video are also basically just electricity. Lights and TV's in the first two got electricity.

Also to the guy who has 20 hours and still isn't finished WTF are you doing? I had platinum within 20 hours. There is very little to do in this game. I went back to finish off the platinum in the first two and they just feel so much more fleshed out. City is also the worst of the three. Although I prefer the first one.

All in all it's a good game but it's the worst of the 3 Infamous games. If they had another six months it had the potential to match the first two or if they had went for gameplay over graphics. Reading over that it sounds like a rant but that's not how I mean it. I'll be buying the next Infamous day one as well but I'd pre order it now if it had Cole 1.0 back in it, :(

Nope just did a quick play through. Went exploring afterwards but since I didn't like the climbing mechanic I didn't spend much time doing that either.

No idea how to check. I just know that the good playthrough took me 7 hours and evil took 6 hours both on expert difficulty. On the good play through I did it in one sitting so I did enjoy the game but I just wish it was longer and had better characters. If you use Neon on good and Video on evil you are pretty much unbeatable. So I would guess the rest took me about 5-7 hours.

I agree.  I'll add that the side missions (hidden cameras, secret agent, etc) were very mundane and tedious.  There wasn't enough story-based side missions other than Cole's legacy.  This game was definitely rushed because this game lacks much content, so I guess that's why Sucker Punch is releasing bunch of free DLCs like paper trail.  I got the platinum also, but I don't think it took 15 hours to get the platinum.

I have finished passing this game a couple of days ago.  Overall, I thought it was a great addition to the series.  It improved the series in a few ways, bit it took a step back in a few.  The game looks amazing and the powers  (especially the third one) were awesome.  However, I thought the side characters weren't developed enough and I thought there were too few story missions.

I loved it as well but the ending to the evil karma story was a bit much. I really, REALLY felt like I needed a shower after that last cut scene.

The game is not perfect, by any stretch of the imagination but is a ton of fun. I wish the bosses were a little more intricate. Even in expert, it's fairly simple.

I'm about 61% into the game and I'm really taking my time with it.
