I try to be "middle of the road" but when I see posts like this, I have to speak up. The fact of the matter is, in my house, the Xbox One is used daily and my PS4 is virtually untouched.  Maybe it's doing "nothing great" but for my money, it delivers.  I'm still waiting for my PS4 to wow me (sorry, Second Son ain't tickling my vagina...).  For me, the PS4 didn't live up to the hype while the Xbox One has me staying up 'til 4am playing it.

Try it and maybe you'll agree.  Maybe you won't.  At least you'll be speaking from experience.


Thats cool and good for you, but i dont fire up my X1 for weeks.  But mine or your hours of play time on 4 or X means nothing to the reality of the market situation.  X1 has to many disadvantages, and sales are showing exactly that.

XBoxOne could reach second place in 8th generation console sales wars by end of fiscal year 2014/15, ie by March 31, 2015. XBoxOne realistically has no chance of outselling the PS4 this generation but the XBoxOne can be profitable and it can look forward to selling close to 60+ million consoles this generation.

I agree, but with some key summer releases, it could surpass the WII U as early as Fall. Then again Smash and Kart 8 should sell a combined amount of a million consoles at release, and thats being generous.

These numbers are obviously false, but its for examples sake. Even if the ps4 only did 450k and the ps3 did 50 k, 500k total on a userbase of about 90 million give or take, thats still 3 milion more

which is 6 mil on titanfall total.

Fact is EA lost money on this deal, they would be stupid to make it again. If other 3rd parties see this, I doubt they will even think of XB1 exclusivity if not staying multiplat.

The point of all of this is simple.

The XB1 is facing a situation roughly thrice as bad as the PS3. What they are doing right now, thats not enough not by a long shot. They should have games planned for 2017-2018, hell their parity clause is worsening the problem as it limits what is going to fill the huge holes between exclusives. 

In all honesty, the XB1 is looking like the Wii U.


Nice numbers you got there, Can any of it be fact checked, Oh that's right. You just wrote it down as you thought of it. It's only been a few weeks. The game is doing just fine.

Yea it cost a 100 more, thats about it. Once it hits $399, we will see.

Anything can change and shape the landscape. Love these posts that state the next 5-10 years off of 5 months of sales. It's way to early and many things can be a game changer.

A console and new game at 450 already is pretty much that, and last week Ps4 doubled X1 sales.

For X1 to out sale PS4 it needs to cost 299, since it lack all the advantages 360 had over PS3 a mere price match or even 50 less wont be enough to take a sales lead world wide.  Ill give you that a $350 Halo 5 bunlde woudl light up the PS4 for a bit, but thats only if there is no Uncharted or GT in the same time frame.
