Still no similar news from Nintendo, thought they might have let a few go considering their recent problems

Actually Nintendo cuts executive staff bonuses and pay they rarely, if at all restructure.

Since this isn't Sony I guess it's bad news.

So you think that lay offs at Sony were seen as good news?

They were "Trimming the fat" as some people were calling it.

Point??? It is still never good news to see people getting paid off.

And you're assuming them to be happy to leave. Is there any difference?

Yeah, the fact that they're using their layoffs as advertisement and jokes.

You wanted them to cry?

Lol no, my post was simply saying that it looked like they were happy to start on their own projects. And I wished them luck.

Not saying it is, I'm saying that people were trying to spin it to seem like good news and that Sony was on a good route by cutting all of these devs, productions, buildings and warehouse workers. Its not a good thing.

You are taking the console war way too serious.......didn;t see anyone say it was good news, but there is truth, restructuring, cutting the fat IS what sony has needed for a long time, how is that spin? It's fact. Sony is too bloated and big.

I don't think people were trying to make it seem like a good thing Sony was cutting back those things, they were saying it's a good thing that Sony is finally taking action.  They were losing money for too long without doing anything drastic enough.

That's understandable, its good in a different way. Was just replying to him saying its "never a good thing".

You asked my point and I answered. Has nothing to do with console wars. Was just replying to your comment of "It is still never good news".

It's definately never a good thing that people lose their jobs, but restructuring happens all the time.  But as we know, Sony had to restructure to a greater extent due to their fiancial situation.

True, especially in gaming when projects are complete.
