Hey, the game is free. You can't really complain about something that's complementary if you ask me.

Maybe it wasn't the best game to show off the power of the system, but I enjoyed it all the same.

yea u agree with you OP. i was also disappointed with the ps4 offering this month. Was hoping for the rumoured daylight as Out last was a blast to play. Oh well its back to ffx hd version for awhile hehe

If they were going to give free indie at least they could have oicked a better one then mercenary kings. 

The PS4's PS+ is certainly a tad disappointing, but what do you expect? The console only came out a few month ago, there really aren't many viable choices to give away.

It's better than nothing at least.

It has an 82 on Metacritic, thats higher than infamous or Killzone, i understand its not everyones cup of tea, but its not some totally shit game.

Its for free the day it launched on console and it has a very good meta score, i think it was a good choice, considering they have a limited selection of things to chose from in the first place, would you of prefered Knack, which is rated shit just because its prettier?

In terms of indies which sony suppose to have  tonnes right? It won't be that hard to pick and indie game thast better then mercenery king. I would have glady accepted a free indie horror game similar to outlast which was fun to play

well i hope may free psn plus game is daylight since its releasing towards the end of april. Wheres octodad?  Well sony ps4 is currently an indiestation so it can't be hard to pick a better game then mercenery king right?

I think they confirmed before PS4 launched that octodad would be on plus didnt they, whenebver it launches, i could be wrong thos its along time ago.

Well that's part of my "rant". I think a lot pixelated indie games not only don't look but either play good and yet get good scores because it's retro.

I haven't play Knack but I bet it would be enjoyed more than MK by the majority of gamers, despite of having whopping 28 points less on metacritic.

The ones that we have gotten for free,, i would have picked Outlast as my favourite of the bunch ,, followed by contrast and Dead nation as a fun coop local multiplayer and to kill time when you bored of yoru ps4 i would have picked resogun. In terms of other indie games,, theres daylight(soon to be released), stealth inc, steamworld dig looks fun, minecraft would be awesome if they gave away it as a free game. Plus there other older indie games that have been out on pc for ages.. Surely sony could have gotten them to jump on the ps4 train right?  I think you are right but i am not to sure myself.
