I wonder when they'll bring Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow or Gold/Silver over to the VC. Maybe with the remakes, it might not happen though.

One came hope.
One would think Game Freak would be all over it.
Sounds great, I finished Metroid Fusion a week ago on 3DS so I'll probably not buy it again, but yeah, these features are a huuuge update from the barebones 3DS ambassador games. The NES ambassador games were updated after a while though, but not the GBA ones.
Yep.
Nintendo is so terrible when it comes to the Virtual Console. Just dump the roms there. Set them at reasonable prices.
Pre 3rd - .29¢ (Atarti 2600, etc)
3rd gen - .99¢ (NES, Master System, etc.)
4th gen- $1.99 (SNES, Genesis, Turbografx, etc.)
5th gen - $2.99 (N64, Saturn, Jaguar, etc.)
6th gen - $4.99 (GameCube, Dreamcast)
7th gen - $9.99 (Wii)
You have an instant cash flow. Lower prices allow digital games to compete with counterparts in bargain bins. It entices spur-of-the-moment purchases. The low prices will help promote the Virtual Console and make it the go-to place for legal emulation.

I was wondering how they'd solve the resolution issue.
160x240 upscaled to fill a sizeable HDTV, without smoothing, would look several shades of fugly.

ROM's are legal as well as long as you own the game in one form or another. |
No.
You are allowed to make ROMs yourself from the videogames you already own.
It is illegal to download something of Piratebay even if you own said game.
The way you obtain the ROM is important.
They better have the originals manuals for N64's VC games too! That would be awesome!

It saddens me that folks hold older games in such little regard. Sure, some of them suck, but the average older game is still leagues ahead of the average mobile game.
9.99 for xenoblade and skyward sword, and screen smothing, would be a dream.
