So... Instead of making games for "hardcore" people which are mainly its audience, they make something for the casuals... Cool stuff guys

Why shouldn't they try to broaden their audience? Does every game have to target the same audience?

No, every game doesn't have to target the same audience but they could have used the resources to make something that appeals more to the people that may want a Vita rather than the people that necessarily dont... Making a game like this to cater to the audience thats primarily on Nintendo platform is a waste of time cause the people that its targetted for will almost never buy a Vita for it and the people that have a Vita don't usually buy games like this...

Sure, it will sell some units in terms of software but if they spent the money on some game that makes the vita more appealing, it would have been a better use of resources

I don't see the point in having casual software unless they plan on lowering the price of the device. People only had to pay 149 to get a DS that came with Nintendogs.

No US retail release either. Wow. This is the kinda game that needs a retail release.  Without that kind of visibility it will go no where.  Thanks again SCEA.

But younger gamers are much more likely to want a handheld than older gamers.

And supposedly Vita is already selling decently to kids in Europe; which isn't really surprising given adverts like this.

Am I the only one who can already see this as a system-seller ?

Sony is still going to do it regardless. They have deveoped or secured casual, non-traditional games with every platform they put out (Singstar, LBP, Invisimals, Hannah Montana PSP bundle, Sports Champions, etc.)

They don't appeal to their normal target, but they want to make sure and appease those who might be interested in those games.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Eh. It's no God of War, but it's still a must-have exclusive for the Vita!

Broadening your appeal is fine as long as you don't burn your core audience. I feel pretty burned.

So why do you feel burned, if a game exists for your system, that you don't like? You aren't forced to play it, the budget for it probably wasn't very high anyways...
