Actually good point. When buying PS4 and XB1 on Amazon currentlly the PS4 looks less value and worse exclusives. As Amazon dont list the indie titles/ports from 360/PS3.

They also use The Oscars and say "now movie xy which won 5 Oscars for only 10 bucks" and stuff like that. It's also only a price given because no clue how many people thought this movie deserves to get it. Or they put the opinion of a single editor of the New York Times in the movie or book description. Not sure if that is really better...
But for these mediums people find it super normal that sellers use these opinions to sell it.

@Op as others said it is better than seeing fanboys review them(Specially after the PS4/XBO launch fiasco. The plus side is people will be more educated on their purchases when it comes to amazon. The downside is it gives more power to metacritic.
The problem with this system is it isnt showing content however. Scores are nice and all but in some cases reading why they got the scores also would be benificial. I also believe people need to start recognizing 70+ games as good games as reviewers do seem to be harsher now.
It's a good move ONLY if you've actually bought the game from Amazon as well. I guess.

yeah but if anyone hovers their mouse over the meta score, then they also see the user scores on metacritic which are targeted more by fanboys.
edit: btw I cant see it on amazon.co.uk, only amazon.com

Again id take it over fanboy reviews. And that doesnt change my original comment either.
However, i would like to see the criteria for being on metacritic if you have a source.

The issue with that is reviews do not = quality.
Dynasty Warriors is one of my favorite franchises and it never reviews very well. Reviews (besides User Reviews) have no place in a retail setting
