I agree with you

The previous generation (PS2/Xbox/GC) because I had all three units while new games were coming out.

I like the current generation too (I have a Wii -- but not a X360 or PS3).

I like the classic generation -- check my avatar/nick.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

6th, but 7th is making some serious headway into my heart. Everything is just so much more advanced and the freedom of things like the PSN and the Xbox Live Marketplace and soon Wii Ware really changes the way I think of gaming.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

You liked Wild Arms?  I guess the PS2 versions were better than the PS1 version, which sucked.

6th generation- it seemed like the perfect gen where all 4 companies released solid consoles. MY favorite console of all time the dreamcast it was so original and revolutionary and had so much style and true gamer feel. PS2 had so many classics and was the first system to penetrate the mainstream and halo:ce and powerstone my two favorite games of all time came out.

Then 5,4,7

Definitely the NES era, followed by the SNES/Genesis/TG-16 era. Worst is the N64/PSX/Saturn era.
