Forums - Gaming - New Deus Ex coming!

http://community.eidosmontreal.com/blog/Future-Vision-for-Deus-Ex

The name ties-in pretty well with this post. I would guess a 2030-2050 game, in one of the city-states who arose after the fall of the US and most of the civilized world a few years after Human Revolution...

Let me take a wild guess.. there is going to be no Wii U version

Damn, sir. Your guessing skills are simply flawless!

Awesome. Human Revolution was a lot of fun. I hope to see something very similar.

Totally expecting this to be on mobile then...

Another game, that if not on the Wii U, makes the PS4 more tempting.

Hmm, Human Revolution was really good but Thief showed that these guys can easily fuck up a good franchise should they choose to. I'm excited but keeping my hopes down just in case.

They were actually developed by two seperate teams with different lead directors and development staff.

Thief 4 was done by the B-Team and DE by the A-Team.

Loved Human Revolution. One of my favourite games of the seventh gen, and a great prequel to Deus Ex. I love the saga so much (even the second, which gets a lot of undeserved hate).

Not liking the title, though. Universe? :/

The name suggests that it'll be set after Human Revolution and before Deus Ex 1. I wonder which Human Revolution ending they'll make canonical? I think the Taggart ending makes the most sense both for meshing with the events of Deus Ex 1 and for bringing Adam Jensen back as a playable character in the sequel, since it'd be really difficult to make a new playable character that's as cool as him.

I thought Self-Destruction was the most akin to the canon? Jensen becomes a martyr and mankind is left alone to discover the answers, which eventually lead to the apathy, degradation and poverty of next generations present in the original Deus Ex.
