2014 maybe.It will depends of how much Titanfall will boost the Xone legs and how much will MK8 impact on WiiU.

BTW following the OP logic the PS4 will probably be at ~15 millions.

I don't think it will be this year, due to Smash Bros and Mario Kart for the Wii U. Unless Xbox One gets major exclusive titles this year.

I think 10m is possible, but unlikely for X1 by Jan 1st 2015... Maybe PS4 will hit that as it is getting close to 7m now...I suspect Xone and WiiU to be fairly close at around 8m a piece and PS4 at about 9-10m

If they do a $50 cut and bundle Mario Kart 8 upon the game's release, then probably not, otherwise XBO probably will beat it out in time.

The Wii U will win in 2014, because it has this:

I guessed wrong the Wii U will have a boost with Donkey Kong... so with that one and the fact new games releasing on Wii U then I guessed Xbone won't outsell the Wii U until Nintendo releases a new console.

Now I think Xbone will outsell Wii U but not in 2014.
