9.2/10

I'm not sure really.
I know it's a brilliantly made game, but it just didn't amaze me like GTA:SA and GTAIV did. Maybe I've had my fill of GTA games over the years, and there hasn't been a big overhaul since.

The best game ever!!! 10/10 for sure. But it is not fair because another 10/10 games are worse. GTA forever :D
sadly I never finished the singleplayer, I think the game looked very good in terms graphics and it was more impressive because the world huge. After all the hype on internet sadly the game did not meet my expections. I will go back to it one day and try again but for now I think I will wait. I spent 10 hours in the game and I must admitt that rockstar created a mignaficant world and cred to them for that. Not much more to say, I tried the multiplayer but did not Like it. I prefer red dead redemption over it but that is just me.
It was a great story, I actually played through the whole thing, I rarely finish any game stories anymore,
gta 4
red dead redemption
dead space
mirrors edge
halo reach
^just a small list of perceived good games that I put down before finishing to make my point.
Story was good but the gameplay was typical gta repetitive cheese. I found no reason to keep playing after I saw the story end.
as for a score? I never really set a game scoring criteria so I'll just say it was worth a playthrough, or at the very least watch somepne play through it.
I didnt care for it anywhere near as i did the older games.
but im so glad they fixed the driving
its starting to get a little old though the same 15 year old kid humor they keep using every game.
8/10
The single player is all that i ever play, and it was the most enjoyable GTA game for me in a long while.

8.5 / 10
A lot better than IV but still gets boring after some time for me...

I'd give the Single Player a 9/10 and the Multiplayer a 6.5/10
As much as I hate to admit it, the game is far from perfect. Graphics and mechanics are pretty good. San Andreas was very detailed and gorgeous, but it failed to capture the magic from the older SA. The switch option was pretty good. The story could've been better. It has no depth and no tension. It was understandable that Rockstar wanted to focus on making a heist storyline, but it came out very half-assed. The missions were mostly good, especially when involving all of the characters. Characters were interesting, but they lacked something I can't put my finger on. Most of the music is dull and boring, and that greatly affected how I enjoyed the game. I liked the game, but it lacked what made the others GTA good.
What really disappointed me was the online mode. The first days were a pain in the ass. Even after fixing it, the game disconnected me a lot from friends' rooms. Not only that, the online version of the game seems very lifeless in comparison with the SP. Less traffic, less pedestrians, simplified weather... it didn't look the same. And things got boring after a while with the continuous repeat of the missions to buy the good stuff.
Overall good world and game play but the characters and story were pretty weak and once I beat the game I was done with it.
7/10 - Less memorable than GTA4.
Atto Suggests...:
Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series
Game - Metro Last Light
TV - Deadwood
Music - Forest Swords
