Forums - Sony - Big Vita Relaunch on E3 or at launch of Borderlands Bundle in NA?

I think Vita should get just enough time to show that new games and new apps are coming to it this year. They should launch the 64GB Memory card WW and maybe even introduce a 128GB card. Beyond that focus on better OS integration between it and PS4.

Otherwise, I think the best thing to do is spend 80% of the events pushing the momentum of PS4 even higher.

My thought is that next year is the year Sony needs to introduce Vita as a phone through a couple of carriers in the US. It does not have to compete with iOS, Android, and Windows. Sony just needs to give gamers the option to have a gaming centered phone with decent title support. If they go this route, I think they could pick up major momentum, and get all of the third parties on board. I think this is the only chance the Vita, or handhelds in general have going forward.

I thought everyone understood by now that SCEA doesn't care about the Vita.

4 ≈ One

The only thing that could save is simple: big exclusive games of great franchises. Solely relying on indies, it will keep being niche forever.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

They should consider themselves happy that 3rd parties blindly do stuff for every gaming system they make. Without these 3rd parties, Sony would be royally screwed. Imagine Sony in the situation Nintendo is in.

I'm actually mad that Sony get away with their treatment of the Vita and Vita buyers. Especially early ones. If a company does shit like they do with the Vita, that company deserves to crash and burn. Sadly, Sony doesn't give a shit because PS4's a success. So no, there won't be any relaunch, that train's left the station long ago.

Add me if you like!

Ask me about 3DS Friend Code if interested. All other things are in the profile!

You guys got it all wrong, how can SCEA care for the Vita if they don't even know what it is. lol!

But seriously the only way they can do a relaunch for the Vita is if they get an FF or an MGS on it, which is doubtful because they can't even get FF Type 0 on board.

That's not exactly true.  Many of those third-party games are being "co-developed" by Sony, which probably mostly means they're handing over money.

On topic, I think Gamescom would be a better place to show a lot of Vita content, as it's still viable in Europe.  There is no real reason to give it much attention in North America unless where is a big GTA or GoW game coming (unlikely) or something kid-friendly, like Pokemon (also unlikely).

I don't know if they're handing over money, but they're definitely providing a lot of support/resources to make them happen.

Even Borderlands 2 Sony is bank rolling for Vita. Having read the announcement for Football Manager too, it looks like SCEE invested quite a lot of resources into making that happen. Pretty certain that's Shahid's big 3rd party title he announced last year.

the NISA stuff etc too, how much influence have Sony had in getting NISA bringing stuff like Danganronpa across to the West? I think Sony have been doing a lot more for the system than people give them credit for actually.

Invizimals is supposed to happen during the summer.  I'm still holding my breath though.

Invizimals just hit in the UK... I know right!? So US ver shouldn't be far off now.
