If it is doing over or around 100k in the UK alone, it should be comfortably past 500k for the week.  Remember PS4 is in 48 territories, not just 13 ;)

The article says Infamous SS did 48k on the UK...

Edit, nope I missread... We don´t know how many were sold.

We don't know exactly how many no, but we know from the article it's a best opening for a PS4 game apart from Killzone in launch week.  So like DerNebel pointed out, it will be between 98k and 115k using VGChartz numbers

Maybe even 125k, depending on if that guy on twitter added up Titanfall X1 and PC, which is likely.

Yes, yes, the 5% PC (retail) sales would have a major effect.

What are you even talking about? Of course the PC version had an effect, fact is Titanfall X1+PC has sold about twice as much as Fifa (all-formats) sold in the first week of 2014, so about 128k if we go by vgchartz numbers.

Or Xb one + PC.

I should expect PS4 to be above Xb one this week, usual 50% drop post big release for Xb one, and more PS4s on the market because of inFamous bundle.

People probably shouldn't be surprised if inFamous drops 70+% next week.

Globally inFamous should do about 500K, which is great, 200K more than inFamous 2.

Shadow Fall did 139K in UK week 1. http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41609/UK/

I predicted last week over 20k for ps4, under 10k for Xbox One, so nothing surprising. Infamous SS is going to be sold a lot digitally, so people shouldn't count just retail sales....I think the game, will have better legs than KZ SF or Titanfall, too.

I think, Infamous SS will sell around 120k UK, so around 300k in all Europe. I expect around 400k in USA, and around 100k around the rest of the world, so in the end, 800k first week retail sales WW (plus around 10% more of digital sales).

A huge success for Sucker Punch.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

PS4 (58%)

XBO (20%)

PS3 (15%)

360 (7%)

- Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster

PS3 (77%)

PSV (23%)

From Gaf, but take with a grain of salt since I have no idea how those percentages were calculated.

You can piece together the MGS splits from various articles:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-03-24-uk-chart-infamous-second-son-drops-titanfall

"58 per cent of Ground Zeroes copies were sold on PS4 and 15 per cent on PS3, meaning just 27 per cent of copies sold were for Microsoft platforms."

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2014-03-24-infamous-takes-uk-1

"Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes entered at 2, with 58 per cent of sales on PS4. Just 20 per cent of sales were for Xbox One."

Don't know where he got the FF splits from.

Anyway, onwards to the actual chart...

VITAOMG.  Honestly, I'm surprised to ever see a Vita game chart these days.  The amount of retailers that actually stock games for it these days is pretty pitiful.  None of the supermarkets; and even Grainger & HMV have rubbish sections these days.  GAME are literally the only ones who I'd say actually bother to stock a variety of stuff.  It is still Final Fantasy, but still, pleasing.

Sadly, no WiiU games in the top 40.  We can never have two nice things at once.

Otherwise, very impressed by InFAMOUS' opening (was expecting it to be behind the combined sales of Ground Zeroes); very decent openings for both the next-gen versions of that game as well.

Quite a few tumbles from XB1 games this week, which is to be expected given that there's not as many people buying bundles this week.

And anyway moaning about the 73% drop for Titanfall... keep that in mind when we see InFAMOUS' percentage drop next week.  Pre-orders + bundle is always going to lead to a steep drop.  It just seems big for Titanfall because MS needed this game to be a little more than it is at the moment; but there's nothing inherently shocking about the drop it had.

I'm hating people hating on Titanfall. It had a BIG opening in the UK, and the drop is normal! People need to understand that ALL games except the biggest releases (COD basically) release on a Friday in the UK.

SonyGaf is funny as they try in every way to spin it as Titanfall is a failure and the XOne doom is imminent.

Infamous performed not as good as Titanfall eventhought PS4 has a much larger installed base on UK and the bundles being cheaper than the Xboxes.

Let´s wait for oficial numbers and not entrust on randon twitters, I´m still wainting the PS4 72% incrise last week.

Where is your proof that Titanfall opened bigger than Infamous?

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Sonygaf is such a hilariously stupid term.

That's really good for the PS4. I wasn't expecting infamous to be a system seller but looks like it is just as strong as Titanfall.
