Gyro controls, like on 3DS and 6 axis.

Have you played Flower using the DS4 on the PS4? It's AMAZING to actually move the controller instead of using the analog sticks.

I played Flower on PS3, thought the game itself was meh. So I probably won't play it again on PS4, despite the improved controls.

Spinning sticks, pushing sicks back and forth.

Go Team Venture! I still don't get the Wii, PS Move,  and Kinect.

I suppose it's not technically a game mechanic but post level grades in some action games annoy me.

What really frustrated me was the controls and the sluggishness of KZ2. I absolutely abhorred that game. And RTS games on consoles have really annoying controls, with the exception of Halo Wars that I've played. Also found it really hard to begin with to get used to 2 analogue sticks.

And I guess more controller related, really hated that 360 controller had directional keys so out of position, but I guess there was nowhere else to really put them.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

1. Stupid/pointless real time events (i.e. when a specific button pops up on the screen and you have to hit that button on your controller)
- These can certainly be used effectively to make a game fun, like during fighting sequences.....but what I fucking despise is like say you're in an adventure game and come up upon a door and you have to keep mashing the fuck out of a button to open it, please just let me hit the button once, it's not fun mashing a button 9,000 times just to open a door or something.

2. CPU teammates in sports games that do stupid shit
- I play a lot of NHL 14, it's my main game. And it pisses me off when my CPU teammates take penalties, or go offsides on me. I'm sure this happens in most sports games.

3. Being an errand boy in games
- What I mean is missions in games where all you do is go from point A to point B to talk to someone, deliver something, pick something up, etc....then return to point A and that was the mission. Once in a while is fine, but I'm not trying to play a FedEX/UPS simulation game.

4. Shooter games where like half the difficulty simply comes from a shortage of ammo.

5. Games where you die automatically if you go "out of bounds" but the out of bounds isn't always clear. Like Borderlands for example, there's no fall damage so you can jump off cliffs and shit and 90% of the time that's fine, but then the other 10% of the time you die because you unknowingly jumped down into the out of bounds, but it just looked like more of the map.

6. Online shooter games that do nothing to discourage campers. Like if I designed a shooting game, I'd make it so if you stay in one spot for more than a couple seconds (like the time it takes to reload or regen your health) then your guy will fuckin start falling asleep and your screen goes black till you move, or maybe like fuckin bees come out of nowhere and start stinging your ass if you aren't moving...like I dunno just throwing ideas out there...I fuckin hate campers. And Call of Duty is fucking lame for having claymores which are a camper's best friend. I get that there are tactical games like Rainbow Six (which I love btw), but let's be honest games like Call of Duty and Halo are just run and gun, not moving around should have penalties.

Random battles that happen out of nowhere (Like in RPG games sometimes)

Also when a game is designed as a stealth game, but really it's just as easy to run and gun. My example being the newest Splinter Cell, me and my buddy always try being stealthy of course, but once we're spotted it's not even a big deal, you can gun your way out of any situation in that game just fine.
