Too bad for you, I feel sorry for you random "serious" "grown-up" person... you should try growing out of sleeping as well, because when you sleep, you dream you know...

Thats actually for a different but related reason. If not for Sony and later MS, Console gaming would practically be dead. And PC gaming would be nowhere near as fruitful as it is now. |

Nintendo fans have much to say as Nintendo brought back consoles. Plus re-invented it with the Wii and effective motion.
Microsoft fans know most could be easily work on the PC. Sure you get more headaches and have to fool with more settings and such, but still could be done.

Cuz it's not really a console, and doesn't really have games.........? (I kid)
I voted Nintendo, not just because I prefer them, but because they continue to come out with the most unique consoles and games, compared to where the rest of the industry has been going. I think that the shape of industry will continue to shift and change, but Nintendo will still be there, as themselves. And personally, I like that.

How many of those PS2 sold were unique users & not the same dude buying his 4th PS2 because they were crap & barely lasted till the end of warranty??? 150M PS2 sold =/= 150M console players! |
You could say there are more console players as you dont have to own a console to actually play it or the fact that, as home consoles, you have many people in a house that are potential players
Anyway, this could be said about any console, but, looking at your postws, I think you are overreacting to this topic in general

I voted for Nintendo, its the console we use the most in our home. Great games and I love there gamepad. Nintendo still makes some of the best games out there and without them I'd probably just wouldn't play anymore.
Nintendo, their games are amazing. My second option would be Sony though, I couldn't care less about Microsoft.

In fact, game attach rate was pretty similar for PS2, Xbox and GC : about 10 games per console sold. It's very hard to think than PS2 could achieve such an attach rate with a very different and higher failure rate. Anyway, Sony sold 150 millions PS2 and the market value they owned was very consistent with this 150 millions console market, which, I think, is the point.
